That's a great try! Denying Waikato a second bp.

Ball is behind him. That shouldn't be a try. WTF is Mike Fraser drunk?

Can you stand Infront of the ball like that and take it off the back of the ruck? Genuine question

@yeetyaah depends on the ref...Sotutu did a few weeks back but Kerevi couldn't...

I think @NTA posted the rules the other day. I can't remember what it was when one foot is behind the ball.

    Find it.

@nzzp said in All Blacks vs Pumas II:

Anyone know what the actual rule on picking up the ball from inside a ruck is? Do you just need something behind that last foot? Because ruling one out last week and letting it stand this week is a bad look for world rugby.

@Damo @NTA or any other refs?

From the most recent Game Management Guidelines:

"At a tackle, a player can pick up the ball as long as one foot is level with or behind the ball. At a ruck, a
player can pick up the ball as long as both feet are level with or behind the ball. If a player is still bound
with an opponent, then they cannot pick up the ball."

So if there is no ruck, one foot. If it's a ruck and you're not bound to an opponent, two feet.

No, I didn't see him pick up. But if he didn't have a foot behind the ball, he's outsider. Unless ref decided it wasn't a ruck

Northland played well and Waikato were shit. But 2 tries given without looking at them when they were debatable is fucking dogshit. Our refs are shit.

@taniwharugby of course you will. One or 2 small blunders is fine, but 2 debatable tries without even going upstairs? Bad form from our refs. Blah blah blah salty Waikato fan blah blah. Fuck this comp.
