To celebrate our Yarrow Stadium return, this Saturday we will be wearing a special edition jersey from our 2002 season. This jersey also coincides with the year Yarrow Stadium was officially opened.

This one-off jersey will be signed by the game-worn player and auctioned off next week.

Ugh Otago shows the way, Naki vomits on the eider down. AFL?

That looks pretty much the best side Waikato can field.

Interesting that DMc moves back to 15.

I'm hoping McWhannell is only being rested as the depth at lock is being tested with injuries to the other squad locks. I assume McCurran would be the backup lock based on who is on the bench.

@Bovidae Yes. Bit of a worry to be missing McWhannell, Burr, Finau and Messam all at same time, when Taranaki has Sowakula and Vaii back. Wish Norris was starting too.

McKenzie back at 15. I'm hoping this is only for 1 week.

@ARHS I expect that Messam and Lam will be interchangeable during the season.

Finau is a big loss, but no idea how serious his injury is. Tom Martin is the other lock/6 in the squad but must be amongst the injured group too.

@Bovidae Do want to see Finau get more time in the field prior to next SR season.

I think the Waikato scrum will dominate when the reserves come on.

Waikato will be disappointed they don't have more points.

Take the 4 pts and flush the dunny.

I was not expecting Te Rama Reuben (a no.8) to move into lock. Hopefully the injuries to Leuila and Coombes-Fabling aren't too serious and we get some locks back for the storm week coming up.
