BBC's Lineker taken off the air for his political tweets. Much frothing and foaming at the mouth results. High Hyperbole levels expected.

Actually, the headline is
“UK economy grows in Jan, beating all expectations”
Isn’t it?
This fucking country.

We seem to be fucked at all levels
I help manage the village hall/community centre/community pub. It's a large building which needs a high fire safety standard. Just had our Risk Assessment. We also host a local Ladybirds/Kindergarten and had our Safeguarding check the day after.
The Fire Regs say we must have the fire-doors unlocked when the buildings are occupied. The Safeguarding report told us the doors must be locked if there's anyone under 12 in the building...

It's like your own version of Clarkson's farm.
It's quite obvious why so many people no longer have any respect of bureaucracy and the law.

Sad bit is the rules themselves are pretty sensible and you do the reviews yourself using well-thought-thru checklists. The problem is no-one looks at the overall picture.

Linker reinstated after agreeing a path forwards with BBC.
Oddly, the left, the right, the centre ... all seems to be claiming this as some sort of victory.
Which shows how ludicrous the whole thing was in the first place.

I'm always intrigued how this sort of exposé only ever seems to focus on one side of the political divide. Seems the likes of Starmer, Lammy and Jess Philips get a free pass - which in the interests of accountability isn't good.

Is anything illegal here?
Truth is that UK politicians are woefully underpaid and in theory as long as they are consulting for the good of the UK, then what is the issue?

This genuinely made me LOL. It’s basically showing <50 pct of the (fuck all) ppl thst voted for Labour last election still support him. It’s a terrible poll for him!!
Novara are JC fans through and through. And they’ve published this to show their support for him, snd belief, that it’s totally wrong for him to be kicked out when he has so much support.
The guy led them to their worst result ever and they continue to live in denial as to why. If he was still leading, the Tories would be ahead in the polls.

There’s obviously a bit of that going on with the gullible, but the nasty part of it it is the ideology of destruction and rebuilding in the new ideal. These people have been around for generations now and ignore all the evidence that this does not work and brings utter misery.

Noticed how they are always rich enough never to be affected by their actions?
