I had a cortico injection a month ago and need another next week I hope my doctor applied for a TUE so I can go to the Masters games in Nov...

Then again, I could do with some media exposure.

Apparently both players had TUEs so I am not sure why this is even a story.

Oh because the French sports papers are total shits to anyone who dares do well but isn't French.

                    It's a story because it's Dan Carter.

Person need to watch out for is the guy from the times, David Walsh. He has a massive bee in his bonnet about drugs in sport (rightly), and more often than not is proved right. So if he starts getting involved ... then these guys need to start getting worried.

Bit of background on Walsh - he's the one that Armstrong took to court. And he's also not held back on his patriot, Wiggins.

My point is more TUE's exist and are probably a system that gets abused. If they have evidence they were abused then that's a story. But at the moment this is just muck raking at the fancy bears level.

David Walsh is an Irish sports writer who writes for The Sunday Times. He, and another Irish former cyclist and sports journalist, Paul Kimmage, were the ones who pursued Armstrong, along with one or two other notable journalists such as Pierre Ballester.

It's also possible that another Irish journalist, and ex-player, Neil Francis, would look at an issue like this since he has written about it in the Irish scene and further afield for various newspapers previously over the last 10-15 years -

Sometime during 1988 I lined out for London Irish against Sale in the Courage League. Sale were a decent side, with a few England internationals and a good match for anyone in England.

A FORMER Irish rugby international has urged the IRFU to "wake up" to the use of Class A drugs such as cocaine by rugby players.

And Paul Kimmage said earlier this year in Irish media that he intends to investigate the issue to see if there's anything untoward. He may do that in tandem with Walsh.

The issue about doping in rugby has generated a lot of recent debate.

this from DC on his FB feed

I just received the ruling from the FFR today.
No surprises that the FFR's ruling was that I'd done nothing wrong. I hold my integrity and the game of rugby's integrity in the highest regard. I love this game and owe so much to rugby that I would never do anything intentionally to bring it into disrepute.
I appreciate all of the support I have had, it means a lot to me and my family.
Whilst this whole episode is disappointing and frustrating, I support the authorities who work hard to ensure our game is played fairly. I am glad that we can now put all this behind us so I can now concentrate on playing rugby!
