I may have been being facetious after already recommending it umpteen times.
@jegga it's a shitload better than black hands.
Don't read the spoiler unless you're jegga and can't handle this fandangled podcast technology.
:::
It starts off as telling a story about a mysterious disappearance years ago. But ends up telling a story that's happening now.

So I'm up to Ep 14 (don't read if you haven't started yet or only on early eps):
:::
To tell you the truth I thought this was a pretty crappy podcast for the first 12 episodes and however many other case files and Q&As they had. I would disagree that it's a shitload better than Black Hands (at this stage).I was actually finding it as annoying as I found Teachers Pet. It lacked focus, episodes would jump all over the place, information would get continuously repeated (sometimes in the same episode), other information was left out for seemingly no reason.
But my mate told me to listen at least to episode 12 so I did and obviously now I'll keep listening to see it all play out. Man, what a turn up of events. But I just hope it stays focused from here on in.

@nepia I'm not sure if that's what you meant to do, but your spoiler is just a copy of mine.
Fixed, it seems like the spoiler function doesn't like multiple spoilers.
Huh weird, both on the functionality and the content. I didn't get that at all, quite the opposite in fact. Maybe I unconsciously gave him leeway knowing he was basically releasing as soon as he had enough for an episode?

I gave him a bit at the start as he was just getting going, but I was about ready to clock out a while back. I'm just past Ep14 now and it's a bit more coherent.

Enjoying this so far

I found this interesting mainly because I grew up in the district nearby, know people related to people involved and worked with my Dad on a farm I believe was part of land owned by key people.
I hate the repetitive aspects of these things but ignoring that this was an interesting listen. The journo is at least very aware of taking things with a pinch of salt and how many people get obsessed with their theories yet from those obsessions they may actually find out some information that has previously been in the dark.

Got to the end of The District and I found the whole thing kinda . . . pointless. I've also since seen Lynette Stevens appear on an "outlier" Facebook page shouting conspiracies left right and centre, so the whole podcast hasn't left much of an impression on me.

Very funny episode of The Dollop about Proctor & Gamble and the satanic panic.
Bonus points for guessing who else was involved ...
