Weight: 108kgs

Goal weight: 100kgs

Estimated time to achieve: 2 months

Plan of attack: Running (building up time each run) Squash, Tennis and eating healthier, plus if I find a club...pre season training, depending on work.

Have been slowly building up times and distances running, and as I hate running with a passion am quite happy how things are panning out. Once finished running and have bettered time from previous outing am stocked and feel great about the run....must admit it's getting easier to get out and do than when first started. Just like pre season training used to be, hated first few times, then got right into it and felt guilty if missed any sessions.

So...running when staying away from home. Squash a couple of nights a week with mates as well as a game of Tennis on the weekend. Cut down on drinking beer during the week and wine with dinner, heaps more water but drink about a litre or two during the day now....cut down on coffee and sugar.
Eat better, more fruit and veg.

35min walk to supermarket for healthy food (willpower fading around bakery section but had to fight back and move to fruit area)

20min 34sec jog around Cornwall Park-aided by lycra clad chicks also running around park. Will go earlier tomorrow as darkness started to set in a ruined viewing.

Yes, that is a shit; head's up to Red Beard for posting the www.bodyforlife.com link which contained a good tip-- shop once a week on Sunday. That obviously means you've got time to plan healthy meals and aren't ducking into the temptation of the supermarket 4 times a week.

Again, a bloody obvious tip, but a habit I had fallen out of. I always used to shop on Sunday arvo in between lying on the couch watching the AFL and lying on the couch watching the feral league, but got out of the habit over summer.

and don't shop while you are hungry!! That always gets all the fatty foods into your shopping cart faster than you can say 'shag Pamela'. Also a shopping list helps no end... although having no shopping list ensures you cricle the isles of the supermarket ten times more than you should, which must mean you EARN that picnic bar... :coolsmiley:
21min 12sec jog around Cornwall Park. Had no energy at all, probably due to low food intake for day which was muesli with fruit and yogurt, orange juice and coffee, fruit during the day, and lunch was 6 pieces of sushi. Total coffees-4 (which is bloody good considering visiting pubs and clubs that offer a coffee at every stop) Heaps of water.
Was hard catching up with workmates at lunch in food mall and them sitting down to macca's, chinese and curry's while I had what tasted like cardboard with rice in middle.

Will shower and walk to foodlands and check out something for dinner.

Todays exercise was probably one of the hardest due to no energy, running earlier in evening and hotter, am sweating like hell which has got to be good.

Walked 30mins down to supermarket.

Dinner is salad and chicken, olives, coldslaw and orange juice.

Water and fruit for snack

During the day fruit and 3 coffees plus a shed load of water.

Lunch-Ham salad roll, fruit

Been a mixture of a week. Have had crock guts, but still eating well. Haven't done any exercise except lifting pokie machines around Auckland for 14 hrs a day and been to bloody knackered when getting home.
Dosen't feel like I've lost anything, and been eating good food. No scales about, will check in when back in sunny HB.

OK...have been a tad busy last week or so with work and getting in late so haven't been able to keep up exercise. Have stuck to the good eating habits tho, and drinking a shed load of water.

On Sunday stayed over at mates place and was told by him and his wife I've lost weight, don't feel it. And found a set of scales in their bathroom...

Butt naked weighing in at 106kgs

Not really 2kgs lost as the 108kg figure was on a set of borrowed scales and was wearing tee shirt and shorts....but happy none the less.
Salad most nights with either chicken dish. Have had a couple of rich dishes which haven't been good, but not overly concerned as cut out junk food during days and mindfull of what I'm eating at nights not to be overly bad.

Tonight is roast pork with veges..cooked by mum, never ever turn down the old ladys cooking, does the best roast spuds in the world. Maybe a bad move, but fark it...it's free, it's bloody good and if I talk my way out of it I get out of the dishes as well.

Have not had too much booze, a couple of glasses of Red wine during the week with meals, and got given a bottle of bourbon so would be rude not to sample a few glasses.

Went for half hour run last night which was surprisingly easier than I thought.
Another good day on the food...

Healthy breakfast, with added extra of ants which somehow found cerial box, was a fair amount of the buggers crawling about in bowl, most did a runner, others drowned by milk and eaten.

Ham tomato and lettuce sarni's for lunch, run out of fruit but shopping tonight

Leg's are sore as hell today after last nights run.

More incentive to lose weight now as workmates have all had a weigh in and have set targets themselves. The idea is same as here, set own goal but no time period but once at their target weight have to hold that weight for a month to win. Losers have to grow a Issac Boss beard, cook a full 3 course meal for winner and bragging rights.

Had weigh in and seem to have put on a kg as new scales bought today show 107kgs...bugger as feeling good, belt has gone up a notch, tee shirt that was tight now loose....

Must start making something different for lunch as getting sick of ham, tomato and lettuce...

You might gain weight by addition of muscle Paj. Also make sure you weigh yourself same time every day - first thing in the morning after the daily leak is the best.

That's the problem there NTA, weighed after having a couple of sandwiches and apple, banana and a shed load of water and coffee during the day.
Not overly concerned at this stage as back running last few nights, been eating healthy except for a couple of bad nights with a pudding the old lady dropped off.
Flat mate who is doing the Tremains Tri this weekend has been going hard out as well and is doing the 5km run. Is a ex prop who has lost a shit load of weight and been running for a few years now and have been going out running at nights but can't keep up with him, did his PB last night with 5 km in 20mins 30 sec's. He was completely farked at the end of it and laying flat out on driveway as I cruised back past him from my "jog"

My boss's PA says this is the best time as well, but couldn't explain why. MvJ's theory is the opposite. I reckon that if you weigh yourself at the end of the day after dinner, then you're actually at your heaviest? That makes it more realistic because we don't carry actually carry ourselves around all day with an empty stomach and bladder. I am prepared to be wrong.

Yeah but you consume and digest food at different rates MvJ unless you're eating and drink the same things for dinner and the hours leading up to it every night, you've no idea how much you absorbed or broke down into the bloodstream. After 6-8 hours' sleep the body is usually finished with everything and converted it into urine and faeces.

Been for a few runs, eaten good food....BUT have let myself down at the weekends with booze and takeaways.

Now problem is staying away and working 12-14 hrs, eating on the go. But mostly manual work so at least lifting Pokie machines around rooms and onto trucks is a good workout!

Mrs Paj now moved into the "Love Shack" at the beach and we are playing happy families. Due to the extra bedtime activities and the fact she has just passed her Personal Trainer papers things looking good for future. She has also done the first shop, and that side of things not looking good. The fridge is full of girl food, and she has threatened to throw the fry pan out, I have told her if that goes so does she.

Turn up Sat to be handed No#3 jersey and told to play full 80mins. Could hardly move yesterday (Sunday) and even stiff and sore today, but surprised at how I got round the paddock. Not smoking helps, but the odd run during the weeks must have been paying off as well.

That obviously means you've got time to plan healthy meals and aren't ducking into the temptation of the supermarket 4 times a week.
It's farken freezing and dark at 6pm and after spending half an hour putting on thermals and stretching up I make my move.
