She had a great rack though
Are we thinking the same person ?
Yes but rarely shown to good effect.

There's been a few old Clint's on foxtel recently. Watched High Plains Drifter the other night.
That's a goody but still probably not even his top five westerns.
Actually it's definitely not.
I'd go for....
Good the Bad and the Ugly
For a few dollars more
Unforgiven
Outlaw Josey Wales
Pale RiderFuck, there's some seriously good flicks that miss out. No room for Fistful of Dollars ( great fun but the 'sequels' just got better and better ) Joe Kidd, Hang em High or indeed High Plains Drifter...
Bronco Billy on the list for me
It's not a western
it's barely a film
Yeah it's a pretty silly romp.
Clint lost his way in the late 70s/early 80s
It’s called the Sondra Locke effect.
That period he was with her and put her in most of his films. All were pretty shit
Though Sudden Impact wasn’t bad ( not as good as the first couple Dirty Harry’s) but had its moments. She was in the Outlaw Josey Wales though and despite only ranking 4th on my esteemed list it is a fucken awesome flick.
Agree on the majority of the rest though.
The Dirty Harry's followed most sequel rules and got progressively worse but the dollars trilogy did it the other way round although the argument can be made that while Clint played essentially the same character in all three it wasn't THE same character....
Yeah forget she was in OlJW
Looked it up she passed away late last year too
Good to see Clint outlive his ex’s. -

The Gauntlet showcased it well .

I remember the scene. You have a bit of a point.

I must admit I got a bit of a horn watching that.

They Shall Not Grow Old
Peter Jackson's homage to his grandfather and to commemorate the centennial of the end of WWI. Amazing footage of war on the Western Front brought to life in colour. Sombre, emotional and a fitting tribute to those that fought in such miserable conditions.
Just for those that may have missed it - this is available on iplayer for the next 4 weeks.

You’ve gone down in my estimation
Is that possible?
When's the last time you watched it?
You may be surprised.

There's no bigger Clint fan than me and even I admit it's a pretty dire film.

dunno if this one has been covered as the search function is busted but...
Patriots Day (2017)
1/10
Cosplay reenactment of the Boston marathon bombing. Starring Marky Mahk and his Funky Bunch. SPOILER: the funky bunch are all dressed as cops in this one. So cute! Anyway, I was prepared to hate this major motion movie picture based purely on its cockwailing seppowrench of a premise. The title, the theme, the actor. But actually, it looked really well done. Got a good score on RT.
Started pre-race, setting up the various "characters" in their abodes, yeah these'll be the heroes, presumably later in various stages of "what do you mean my leg is fucking GONE?"
Shit, I dunno if I can watch this.
Confession Time: once the bombing ended, and the gory ER amputee porn kicked, in I stopped watching. I'm sorry! Yeah, fuck that shit. Mr fucken Magoo could see how this one pans out. Cue the music, we're gonna GET doze terrorists. Uhh, if you're all such "patriots" then why did you treat those different looking fellas like such fluffybunnies for their whole lives in America, marginalising them, and, hello, playing no small part in turning them against you into radicalisation? Oops, dont mention that part. Cue da music! Fucking a-raaaabss...
So without having seen 75% of this movie I can safely say your basic seppo will crack a MASSIVE fat over this one. It's got everything they need. Marky Mark, terrorists, blood, bad guys, da good guys, da bombs, da guns
Another confession time; I was hoping Marky Mark would get his nutsack blown clean the fuck off in this one. Now THAT'S a happy ending in my book. Alas it was not to be. Hollywood doesnt put out many 30-minute major motion movie blockbusters. No, you'll need 2 more hours of heartwrenching, weeping, soaring strings, amputee porn, heroic officers of the law, kleenex to wipe your tears and jizz smeg off the bandaged stumps, and happy endings.
Fucken shitty little bombs in rucksacks.
Dumbarse seppos, here's what a real fucken terrorist looks like:
Just to throw it out there ... I really enjoyed this film & didn't see it at all the way you did.
It was borderline documentary really, but still found it a fascinating watch.

A Perfect Day
Benicio del Toro, Tim Robbins, Olga Kurylenko, and some others are aid workers in the Bosnian conflict.
The job is to get a dead fat fucker out of a well. But it all gets fucked up in the chaos of limited resources, UN protocol, and general bullshit of a civil war that really put AtroCity on the map (geddit?)
Dark in places, great score including some rocking tunes, and Robbins is funny as fuck. Great longshots of the countryside and such as well. I like a good landscape.
3.5 mined cows out of 5 soccer balls.

How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World
I thought this was the weakest of the three movies. Spent a bit too long on lovey-dovey stuff (Toothless' new dragon girlfriend / Hiccup & Astrid) before getting to the action. Not the strongest storyline and the jokes didn't seem as funny either.
That said, the boy really loved it (though he's pretty obsessed with the whole franchise) so probably worth taking the kids to.
3.5 Light Fury's out of 5 Deathgrippers

I did too, from memory it played out pretty close to true events

@No-Quarter the books are great, and totally different stories. Toothless is a tiny whiny shit for ex. I've not read them but we listened with the kids on long journeys in the car, the reader was awesome with great accents. The first chapter had
'in those days men were men, and women were to'
' Big Boobied Bertha laughed until the tears ran down into her beard' -

My youngest is too, she loves it. The tv series on Netflix is on constant rotation.
Taken her to see this one twice already,
Have steadily grabbed the new toys for it too.
The 2nd one is probably the best to date in the series. -
@Virgil yeah I agree, the second one was the best. Got pretty dusty at times during that movie.
And yeah, my boy has the Riders of Berk DVDs which are fairly dated, and has also binge watched the Netflix series a few times. The Netflix series is really well done, I've watched it with him
