Ha. I have a trilogy releasing next year through my American publisher that is set in a pleasure club. Book 2 has a sub/dom relationship.

I'll look forward to the movie in 3 years time - hopefully it's better than Eyes Wide Shut. :)
-

I've seen that on Netflix - might give it a look.

Not sure what it is about, but my personal observation is that, unless its got Channing Tatum and/or Chris Hemsworth shirtless and ripped, its not going to do it.

Further observation reveals that, if the studios can manage it, they should just release new versions of Magic Mike on a regular basis so that Mrs TA can have a night out with her friends, including dinner and drinks.

For some reason, that works better than trying to convince her to ovulate more than once every 28 days.
-

am sure she will like the male lead in this too...you might even like the series too.

Scottish series set in early Georgian times (1740s), based on the books by Diana Gabaldon. Heroine Claire Randall is a time traveller from 1940's England.

Sam Heughan (hero Jamie Fraser) is hot, shirtless and ripped, in a kilt. Lots of sex, battles, seriously fucking evil villains, and gorgeous scenery.
-

Should frame this discussion in the following terms:

I'll just go outside and catch some Pokemon or something... -

My wife loves the books, and the TV show. I watched a couple of episodes with her. I thought the TV was poorly done. If you need a monologue over the top to tell the story, it's poorly written in my opinion.

The main chick is kind of alluring though i guess.
-

A company that sold Pens called Pen Island became, yep www.penisland.com and another that searched for therapists was www.therapistfinder.com
-

Watched 'Showgirls" last night.....

Christ on a bike, where the fuck do you actually start with this flick ? The dialogue is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad and the lead character seemed incapable of doing anything without doing it "really dramatically"........she is also a complete and utter self centered bitch but marginally less so than the chick played by Gina Gershon so I think we're supposed to sympathise with her. In fact every single character is pretty fucken loathesome, the only one who is a nice girl ends up getting gang raped.

As I said, so many bad they're good lines of dialogue, I'm sure the people who wrote it were taking the piss....

......oh and a ridiculous amount of titties, Elizabeth Berkley and Gina Gershon are hot as fucken anything.

Watched "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." last night. A harmless, fun little movie, i was pretty entertained the whole way. Thought the 3 mains all played off each other pretty well.

Thought "okay, the 2nd could be fun now that everything has been established" then i checked the numbers on IMDB and realised this was pretty fucking far from ever getting a sequel.
-

Apparently IMDB is full of "Trolls" who use fake logins to boost the ratings for shit movies.......saw a few last year in particular that were fucken diabolical but still got respectable ratings, everyone on the message boards was throwing all sorts of accusations at the "reviewers"
-

i was talking box office, not scores.

-
Reviewers on there are like people on here...go into a movie thread and rant/rave away, I have read scathing/glowing reviews and found the movie the opposite, so pay little heed to them, however, like some threads here, they can be amusing to read...you can only vote once, so creating multiple accounts to vote would be time consuming and largely pointless unless you got tens of thousands of them.

Due to a head wind on my flight back to Oz from NZ I was able to watch two NZ movies that I hadn't seen on the plane that have been mentioned on here - Mahana and The Dark horse.

I really enjoyed both movies.

Mahana: The shearing gang stuff was interesting because that's where my grandparents hooked up and had an opps, my dad. I've got photos from that era and the movie seemed to capture it perfectly. I thought the ending was a wee bit weird but still a good film.

The Dark Horse: I was a bit worried this wouldn't live up to the hype, but it did and so did Cliff Curtis' performance (interestingly Curtis strolled past me pre-flight). James Rolleston was also good. That kid must be heading off to Hollywood sometime soon as he seems to be in every NZ movie made these days.

It's been a good 12 months for NZ film with these two and Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
-

IMDB used to be pretty good, they rate the "classics" accordingly most of the time but as a guide for something completely new you have to take each review with a grain of salt.

I think the longer a movie/series is on there, then the more people will vote and therefore outweigh the trollls trying to artificially increase/decrease a rating.
