Tasman probably don't have a lot to play for in this game. If we get ahead of Harbour there's a very small prospect we'd host a home final if the two underdogs beat the two home teams.
Looks like Leon agrees and has rested a few key players - at least I hope they're resting - Hunt, Jordan, Lowe, Frizell, Taufua.
-
14 to 12 to Tasman so far. Nigel Ah Wong got a try from a line-out maul. Bloody backs stealing forwards tries lol.
-
17 to 12 Tasman, 28 min
-
Good call. Obstruction.
Well done ref having the balls to make the decision -
Bull shit no try call. Royal missed out on double. Would an impeded prop catch TNW?
-
@rapido Fuck off - Lomax would never have got to TNW
-
Good Karma. TRY Counties!!! AH WONG double
-
Ah Wong has been sniffing the intercept all night
-
22 - 19 half time Tasman lead.
-
Then the fatty didn't need to run his obstructing (or 'dummy') line then. If he couldn't get to him.
We'll never know if Lomax would have got him. Because someone was cheating in his way.
If your running in front of the ball carrier, and you contact a defender then .....,
That's my ruling anyway, god knows what the consensus clusterfuck refereeing black hole precedent currently is.
-
Seeing the half time highlights.
Royal's first try should have been scrubbed too. Obstruction when those 2 guys break away without the ball.
-
Bloody Foxtel have decided not to telecast this game in Aus.......Bastards
-
27 to 19. Nankivell try
-
Try to Leger. 27 to 24
-
what about the head high on that replay?
-
30 to 24 tasman
-
Accidental Defensive bomb from Tasman lol
-
Penalty to try to Counties. Maul pulled down
-
31 to 30 Counties. Yellow card also
-
Kerr' shoulder bounces from ball into Parkinson's chin.
Prob yellow.
But gee Nikoro. Filth.
-
Johnson wouldn't happen to be a Tasman fan would he...
-
Potentially two cards against Counties. Swinging arm from Nikoro. Baden Kerr tackled high on a falling player. Shoulder to head.
-
14 versus 13
-
It may take a few years for players to get back to tackling on the hips, cheek to cheek.
-

That's what I'm thinking. It's going to be card carnage for a few years until techniques are lowered.
Re; Kerr. Not Nikoro, hiscwas just foul play regardless of tackling height techniques.
-
Awesome try from TNW!
-
TNW!!! like a hot knife through butter. 38 to 30
-
I've quite like ref's clarity tonight. But, to get my undieing love - he should have restarted after that TNW try with a Counties penalty on halfway.
-
Just a question: is there a rule that says for how long a player has to be held up by opposition players before a maul is called? There doesn't seem to be any consistency at all. Some refs call it a maul after a few seconds, others seem to wait much longer.
-
Henwood try!!! Co man of the match with TNW
-
Good refereeing again on the held up (including his instructions to TNO), and then the subsequent try.
Paul Williams? Not heard of him before. I like the cut of his jib.
-
Haha, conversion by Jimmy Tupou!
-
52 to 30 Counties win. Kerr got the last try. Tupou got the conversion from out wide.
-
Locks kicking conversions, A centre standing at two in the line out and scoring push over tries, a great game to watch. A pity about the poor start to the season. I hope Sam Henwood is given a Super Rugby contract. He was with the Chiefs while injured.
-
Nice work Counties. Feeling pretty confident for a Harbour/Taranaki final now.
-
I see that Paul Williams will get to ref Ireland v Fiji in November, assume is his international debut.
I'd be confident in him.
-
