I’ve been reading about the proposed Harry Potter TV series and I’m conflicted. On the one hand it is being done by HBO who have some history of doing decent stuff, on the other hand though, I’ve seen the cast list. It’s a plethora of British B grade character actors/comedians, a fair bit of woke diversity casting and not one midget that I can recall.
I think it will be a bit shit.

This will make it even better.
Worth mentioning I admire JK Rowling for her stances and being entirely self made but can't stand the books or movies.

Books were alright, great for those that grew up with them. They got more serious and darker as they went along. But still teen books, and I didn't grow up with them.
I just like Nick Frost!
Haven’t seen him in anything since Hot Fuzz I don’t think.

"The last of us" is back, season 2 continues strongly with some great action in the first episode..lots of potential plot twists coming up for sure

One of the best shows I've seen in years. The best part of it was I managed to persuade the girl to watch it despite the fact it's based on a video game which instantly put her off. She loved it though.
As is always the danger you've got to hope they continue the momentum and keep it compelling. So many of these type of shows peter out to shit with a lack of new ideas ( ahem, Walking Dead )
Will possibly look at watching a few over Easter.

Have watched 2 eps of Mobland, which is a Guy Ritchie series, with Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren & Pierce Brosnan along with a few other recognisable faces.
So far is pretty much what you'd expect.

Me too, waiting for it all to drop, I can't watch TV weekly anymore, does my head in. I didn't realise it was Guy Ritchie.

@Nepia apparently only involved in a few eps
I like Guy Ritchie so not fussed if he's involved (if that's what you were suggesting).

@taniwharugby said in TV Serieseseses:
@Nepia nah, was more I got the impression he did the whole series....but the 1st 2 eps are what you'd expect from him, but I dont know if he was involved in ep 1 or 2....so bodes well if he wasnt I guess
I assume if the's the producer/show runner he has a hand in the overall show but only directs specific eps?

@bayimports Show is well made for sure, I felt Ellie was a little immature for 19? but I guess she has a slightly different attitude to the infected given she is immune. But she was putting her hot little girlfriend in danger. It will be interesting to see how the season pans out.
