Unsolved Mysteries - poor bastardised modern-day version of a program that routinely scared the crap out of me as a child.
All the eeriness is gone. All of the creepiness has been replaced with simple eye witness accounts and police reports. It's not that the stories are interesting or indeed "unsolved mysteries" it's the lack of reenactments and amping up the drama. It's just not the same.
To this day I think the scariest thing I remember from TV as a kid was the Telly Savalas story "I'll give you a ride" fro the aussie TV show The Extraordinary. Im a grown man and it still gives me the creeps
I saw that while babysitting ( early 90s ) and yes, eerie as all fuck.

Seal of approval from two Welly boys. That’s good enough for me.
there must be heaps of Guy on Guy action
How many more children did you father today to come up with that gem?

Treadstone
Had it on the list for a while, but after binging some other series and smashing Civ 6 until I won, I never got around to it.
Fairly solid. Some decent fight scenes though I could do without some of the backstory rubbish about the journalist's childhood car accident. The CIA people are acting waaaaaaay over the top for people who are supposed to be psychologically tough.
War Of The Worlds
This has just started showing on SBS here - the series based (I guess) on the classic HG Wells novel. 2 eps in so far and pretty good - Gabriel Byrne and American Duchess from Downton are good and the French stuff is pretty good as well. Some interesting dynamics which I'll be watching from here on in on a Thursday night - old school!

Better than the Tom Cruise version I hope ?

War Of The Worlds
I might need to give that one a look, I watched the 2019 BBC one last year which was a bit average

@Bovidae I couldnt get into See.
Finally got around to watching The Last Dance.
I am not a BB fan, never been, barely watched any of it, yet, the number of players, names (inc coaches) events (Rodman going AWOL) and even many of the actual games I remembered, showed what MJ did to the sport, all time sporting great.
Top notch doco, just goes to show what that extra bit of desire can do to some people, and what they can then bring out of others around them.

Me too.
Last year's BBC version was worse than average - trendy, right-on rubbish with crap CGI. Ruined what has always been my favourite book.

Finished See on Apple TV+.
I enjoy these types of TV shows/movies and I thought I'd continue on with the freebies.
Is For All Mankind worth watching? Anything else?
I thought For All Mankind was great.
The news show with Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston and Reece Witherspoon was Decent too, also had the lovely Gugu Mbatha-Raw as well.

Two episodes in - really enjoying it.

about halfway through latest season of The Last Kingdom.
Not enough T & A, could almost be a stand alone story now, enough action going on to keep me interested, but certainly drop in quality since S1.
I know it has probably happened through history, but annoying how the king (in this and other series/movies) almost always has a 'poisonous' wormtongue type person advising them.

I did a lot of complaining about it (found it Vikings light) and now I quite like it.
