Thanks for the warning. Will avoid.
Can't abide musicals.

The Secret
Based on a true story with James Nesbitt, who plays his role superbly, as a batishit man with absolute faith that everything he does is part of Gods plan.
A couple of avid church goers in Ireland start having an affair, get caught, stop, start again and then devise a plan (a shit one I might add) to get rid of thier respective spouses.

Walking Dead - Season 3
Episode one, taking of the gaol. Every fluffybunny would win an Olympic Games gold medal in shooting.

I have finally got around to watching Gangs of London. What a weird show. I could accept if they deliberately 'comic booked' it, like say The Boys, but to make out it is realistic? Taking the proverbial.
People getting shot half a dozen times in the back that still manage to function for the next five minutes? Exploding heads from either explosive of hollow point high velocity rounds but when the same gun shoots a main character the bullet just lodges neatly in his side?
I love the OTT violence but at least make it clear that it's all bullshit.
Oh, and it needs more titties.Yes how it has a gay orgy but no titties in its hetro love scenes astounds me.
Also gangs of London has taught me that the only way to kill a pikey/gypsy is with a head-shot. Mother f$ker Gypsies seemingly are like zombies and can function with multiple bullets in their body.
Still thoroughly enjoyable! Looking forward to season 2.
Anything else on Stan worth watching? City on a hill complete, this complete, Clarice complete…

Even that won’t always work. Tyson Fury got up from a Deontay Wilder headshot that would have killed some people.

so moving through some other series on Stan, have started Power and got through season one. I know this has been around for a while but the first chance I have got to see it.
Drug dealing/taking, night club front, frequent nudity/sex, sometimes all at same time and a few executions thrown in.. looks ok so far, although i would probably like more focus on the business, but good combo of thing I like to watch

Watched S1 of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.
Found this on Netflix on a wet day, quite enjoyed it!
-
Dr Death - Christian Slater, Alec Baldwin, Joshua Jackson, Kelsey Grammer
Good series, thought Jackson was superb as the narcissistic Duntsch, Slater was excellent too as the pushy Dr. Kirby.
American legal/medical system is messed up, all about the money!

The Twilight Zone 1959 138 Black Leather Jackets
Three strangers arrive in a small town, three men in black leather jackets in an empty rented house. We'll call them Steve and Scott and Fred, but their names are not important; their mission is, as three men on motorcycles

Glitch is pretty intriguing so far and happily enough it is a show that both the other half and I enjoy which has been a struggle of late.
Anyone else seen it ? Intriguing premise ( basically dead folk coming back to life ). As she has pointed out the first series won a bunch of awards but the second and third didn’t so it might turn to shit as so many TV shows do.
Hmmm... Top Review on IMDB starts with:
Season 1 was great. Season 2 was good. But Season 3 was beyond awful.
And ends with:
...watching Season 3 to its conclusion, left me angry in the end, making me with [sic] I hadn't watched it at all.
So... a qaundary... watch a couple of seasons, and leave it halfway through? Or watch it all for the sake of completeness? Or just ignore it, and admit I've already got 30 seasons of unwatched TV Serieseses downloaded, and that'll just have to do for a while.
Astoundingly accurate. Season three is confusing, far fetched to the point of fucken stupid and it’s making me furious watching it so I’m pulling the pin about half way through. Fuck that stupid show for wasting my time like it has.

Finished watching S3 of Yellowstone which ended with a bang. I like some characters more than others but this is good quality drama written by Taylor Sheridan.
It's brilliant. I binged all 3 series in quick time and have been hanging out for S4.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
Saw this on Amazon Prime Video ages ago and bookmarked it. Have been watching it in bits and pieces - a little odd at 7 episodes long, I might add.
Deals mainly with an alternate England around the time of the Napoleonic Wars, specifically the resurrection of English Magic by the two main characters. Really it is more about the relationship and conflict between the two, with the side stories being politics and society of the time.
I found it enjoyable, and apparently the novel it is based on is getting sequels after 15 years or so, so maybe there are more series in future. However, it is fine to finish where it did.

Probably late to the party but my wife recently updated her work iPhone and with it came 1 year free access to Apple TV+.
First show we started to watch and were hooked from episode 1 and somehow even with the Olympics on, we just binged over about 3 days is "The Morning Show/Morning Wars".
Damn good series and I now see that series 2 starts 17 September, cannot wait. Such a well written show, very well acted and very topical.
Looking to watch Mosquito Coast next. Any comments and feedback on whether it is worth watching or not?
