It is the year 2017. "The Running Man" is a deadly game no one has ever survived.

Yeah, a few convenient things to help but I was satisfied. -

damn, I forgot to watch that, probably wont get to tonight with GOT lined up.

Watched S1 of Peaky Blinders, pretty good.

I like Cillian Murphy, and Sam Neill seemed good too, unsure how good/bad his accent was, but seemed decent to me.
-

Banshee
Pretty good wrap up and could have been much worse. I think the showrunners have done a good job of putting a fullstop on the series without resorting to gimmick.

Some of the things that annoyed in S4 became obvious why they were there.

- the whole serial killer/ FBI thing provided the opportunity for someone to hand Hood his file and show that they have known who he was for a while but chose not to do anything (which adds to the whole 'sometimes in order to enforce the law around here you need to go outside of it' thing

- the serial killer thing created a diversion from the obvious Burton killed Rebecca conclusion. It was not meant to be a twist just made the viewers dismiss Burton for a few episodes so the 'reveal' was more believable to Hood

The convenient bits were obviously the Nazi senator appearing to bring them back into line. Ignoring the fact that Calvin killed a workmate and walked out of his office covered in blood yet no one seemed to be looking for him.

I thought the Calvin and Kurt fight was very clever. Made a home backyard setting for a sibling fight and when Kurt didn't want to shoot Calvin the fight was like a kids backyard tussle which made the conclusion more dramatic.

Proctor's ending was good too I thought. His demise came from his own scheming and not just a bullet from Hood. He reaped what he sowed.

Job's departure was a crack up 'Suck my tit!"
-
Pretty predictable "boss" fight between Hood and Burton, of course Burton can kill eight tough looking Nazis single handedly but as Hood is a main character he can take far more hits and subsequently beat him.....

I'm not sure I'd like a town I'm in to have a sheriff that fires a rocket launcher into a crowd but there you go.....I still liked what they did with the character. Ironic that he chastises Bunker for killing his brother when he is up to those kind of hi-jinks.....and didn't his place have a lovely backyard ?

Proctor got his, even in Banshee it's gonna be tough to walk off multiple bullet wounds.

Back to Hood though,,,,,,he had the choice to settle down and fuck either ( or both, I reckon they'd be up for it ) Dushku or Carrie/Ana......nope he has to do the clichéd "my work here is done, I'll drift off somewhere else"

I'll miss watching this unrealistic, trashy, violent show though :-)
-
Hood had just slammed Burton with a car which then tumbled down a hilllside before fronting up to fight him. Even then Burton Bowtie nearly won.

I liked the slight cliche ending. If you wat to really analyse the characters they all had at least two sides to them and were in a struggle to find out who they really were. As Hood admitted to Brock, he actually came to like fighting for the good side. Carrie decided that being a mother was the real her, Job just wanted to go back to being sassy, Proctor had a death wish. Brock found the right balance between being a good cop and doing what was necessary.

BTW how cool was the scene with the Cartel? Best scene in ages. The lead up was cool and you were waiting on what would come. I didn't see it being Brock going postal with a rocket launcher.
-
True that. Hood only beat the Albino cos he sliced his cock off first and resorted to shooting Clayton rather than have a fist fight with him.

As for the MMA champ perhaps the standard is a lot lower in Pennsylvania......
