Food sucks
-
god, you know you're geting close to competition time when food tastes like fucking SHIT all the timne, no matter what you do with it. There are only so many ways you can cook Chicken breasts and fish with no condiments, no oil, NO TASTE.

It is really a matter of eating for fuel at the moment, nothing else, not pleasure, that is for sure...!!

that is all.

GRUMPY BART -
Surely you could add a bit of spice for flavouring. It may even be beneficial by invigorating blood supply etc. Certainly little calorific value anyway.
-
Aren't you supposed to be able to marinate in fruit juice and not have it upset things too much?????

My mate, a BB but not for competition, eats chicken marinated in pomegranate juice. -
sugars in fruit chaps! And yes, curry etc, no calories, but cause water retention etc - whcih is what you do not want!!

just got the 'food blahs' at the moment. only nice meal is the rolled oats and 2 scoops of choc protein powder in the morning. Like coco pops!! -
Surely it is salt/Sodium that causes water retention not spices as such? I didn't mean premade spice mixes of 'curry powders' which can certainly be high in salt, but the use of straight spices as flavourings. Some even act as stimulants and diuretics (if you take enough).
Sounds like there might be a market out there for some recipes for freaks like you. -
sure would be a market for that book!!

yeah, it is aminly the salts, but amazing what is in a lot of those things and what they make your body do!! -
Do you have fresh blueberries with your rolled oats? I've had the rolled oats, protein powder, blueberry breakfast a few times and it tastes a treat.

Bart, are you allowed to eat low fat cottage cheese? If so have a couple of table spoons and then shake some ground cinnamon into it. Upping the cinnamon (not cinnamon sugar!!) intake has helped to control my blood sugar levels and keep insulin sensititvity in check. Apparently cinnamon is up there with berries on the antioxidant radar. -
kiwifruit with the rolled oats at the moment - everything is controlled at the moment - sugars (carbs) in, protein in, can be more lose and sub stuff in the off season, but with the 24th fast approaching, everything counts!

NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS LEAN AND MEAN FEELS!!!
