Vehicular Attack Melbourne

@nta yeah a number of attacks in the last couple weeks including a murder. Victoria is in a midst of a crimewave that officials refuse to recognise despite their own stats proving it. If we add an islamic terror attack to the mix well then we're going to really start having some repercussions despite the mentally challenged hippy contingent screaming otherwise.

Drug addicted Afghani with mental health problems is the official line. A lot of people not buying it. Hearing premier Andrews spinning it is pretty nauseating, he comes across as a bit of a virtue signalling piston wristed gibbon.
The second bloke arrested was not connected apparently just some dude on the street who happened to have a terrorist beard and was filming the whole thing..oh and had a bag containing 3 knives..
Anyway can't wait to see how this is spun tomorrow.

Reporting an ice addict behind the wheel
Much as you want it to be non-terror related, can you believe it from the powers that be?

..and in the lead up to Christmas, and from a politician who is very much on the pro- refugee/multiculturalism bandwagon.
I'm suspicious but those suspicions could be very well unfounded.
Mr 3 knives might have the answers though.

@catogrande they're saying it was deliberate.
Pretty sure you can be a drug addict AND a terrorist

Acting Chief Commissioner Shane Patton tells 3AW: “He has made utterances, speaking of voices and dreams, attributing his actions to the treatment of Muslims around the world”.
Doesn't really sound like a terrorist attack then, as he doesn't appear to have any political aims, just resentment combined with drugs/mental illness. What a fucking nut.

@no-quarter We'll see. Victorian politicians are hardly the most trustworthy especially on this topic. They are defining terrorism as having to have known links to recognised terrorist organisations thereby excluding anyone who kills in the name of islam via their own accord. I personally disagree with this classification.
It is certainly not in the Victorian premier's interest to have a recognised terrorist attack in the worlds most liveable city in the lead-up to Christmas. The mental illness aspect can be argued for any terrorist attack as you would have to be very unwell to murder or have a strong religious belief. I'm concerned that some Aussie politicians strategy for dealing with terrorism is to pretend it doesn't exist.

@Rembrandt fair enough, like you I wouldn't trust a politician as far as I can throw them. But on the face of it this looks more like a reaction to the overblown narrative of victimhood that the left has been ramming down everyone's throats, rather than an attempt to push the aims of Wahhabi Islam.
I strongly believe definitions are important, and I see so many people re-defining terms these days to suit their own ideas which is concerning.
Will wait and see what else comes out though.

He said the same thing on ABC, but also said the guy doesn't appear to have any links to terrorist groups.
Formal interview to be conducted today.
