@kruse next but one. Your next post is a charity appeal for your sister.
I read your riposte Are you @booboo in disguise? I'm pretty sure he doesn't like snakes either and he certainly shares your grammatical pedantry. Well played sir(s)
As for the comments. The sole one to your riposte is a doozy

I feel I'm being insulted and I'm not sure how, and I haven't read Kruse's blog yet.

@kruse That Evan Smith guy sounds like a barrel of laughs you pansy.
Good to see how you developed your film review 'style'
Jesus... you actually read that whole thing?
I believe that my very next post was a riposte to Evan.I'll confess I scrolled straight to the comments section...is the blog as good as the comments?
Nah. Evan was a gem... and I took way too much time responding to him.
- Christ, I just re-read another piece of my own writing - spotting about half-a-dozen typos - in what was effectively an extended rant about spelling/punctuation/grammar/etc. Irony much?
Other than that - cringeworthy... I obviously had way too much time on my hands in those days.
Have you not heard of digital music?
Yes, I've been having a nosey at your blog, I'm "self-isolating" at the moment and my work mates have decided to ignore my Slack messages so I have a bit of chilling time.
Man you talk about buying CDs a lot. I kept thinking I'd look at a post and it would be from the late 90s or 00s, but they were all from the 10s.

I still buy CDs, then I rip them (look at me using computer speak) to a USB. I like to have a 'physical' product.
Maybe I am not doing it right, but streaming doesn't suit my listening habits.

@crazy-horse I don't do it right either but it's pretty similar. Add songs/albums/playlists to your library, download them for offline listening. I can't see how that's different to ripping to a usb (except it's a lot less fucking around).
-
@bones I listen to most of my music in the car and I can skip and move between albums easily using a USB. As I understand it I would have fluff around with a mobile phone or whatever if I was using a streaming type service wouldn't I? Even if I downloaded for off line use. Or can that be control via the car stereo as well?
-
@crazy-horse yeah guess it depends on your stereo, etc. We've just got a Bluetooth dongle thing that plugs into the aux and connects to the phone, for handsfree calling plus has buttons for rewind/skip/pause. Budgo option but suits me for a tenner. I used to use an old phone as a device that stayed in the car with all my music on but gave up as it's just easier to stream now.
Of course most car stereos these days come with car versions of android/apple that connect direct to your phone and provide even more control and display.

Yeah, @Bones can often be spotted saying “Siri, get me Rolf Harris and Two Little Boys”

Fuuuck... I knew I shouldn't have opened/made-public that can of worms.
I spent Saturday trawling the "webarchive" - and copy-pasting all the shit from my travels through South America, back onto the blog (after they got deleted because my hosting company disappeared overnight)... and even just glancing at some of the shit I'd written, I was cringing.
I mentioned it previously - but fuck, I cringe when I read shit I've written even a year or so earlier.
I did, however, remember many a wee episode I'd forgotten. It really was pretty much my diary as well as a regular "yeah, I'm still alive" message to the folks back home. Brought back some fond, fond memories - especially when deciphering the "clever euphemisms" I'd used at the time to disguise the reality... and looking at it with hindsight... soooo transparent.Hastings Pak'n'Save - I wrote up my views on that, did I? I might have to search that up myself for a reminder. I can't imagine it was a positive review.
Edit: One post I rescued from oblivion, I remember scanning in passing, and it had a reference to the Fern... back when the domain was damienhutchison, or some-such. I think that was from back when I was a lurker, rather than a drunk participant.
