@mariner4life He's worried his partner might find out. Guessing she won't recognise his name or photo in the article?
Can she read?
Does she read? -
@taniwharugby @antipodean just replaced it with the video I meant to post. Koenigsegg Agera RS, fastest production car at the time it appears.
-
@antipodean yep the 300-380 or so is scary fast.
-
Fuck me! 450km/hr.
-
Yeah 11 seconds 0-100 - practically pedestrian 300-380 9 secs
Not about acceleration 450 kph holy shit
-
I had to look that up. Amazing. That beast is producing 1360hp running on vegetables.
"The car is a customer-owned vehicle, a Koenigsegg Agera RS fitted with our 1MW engine upgrade producing 1,360hp when running on E85 fuel."
Previous highest top speed by a production vehicle was Bugatti Veyron (431.07 kph).
Some of the records broken are a bit obscure but impressive for 1938!
"The established record for a flying kilometer on a public road was set by Mercedes Benz on the 28th January, 1938. Rudolf Caracciola recorded an average speed of 432.7 km/h (268 mph) over the flying kilometre, driving a modified version of the Mercedes W125 racecar along a section of the German autobahn between Frankfurt and Dormstadt."
