Even when I never missed a game back in the early 2000s when this bloke started I have no idea who he is.

2018 minus 17 equals 2001. That's when he started his job.

I thought you were referring to his rugby playing career not his time as a member of NZR.

This is shaping up to be the ferns most boring ever thread. Lets go and talk Walking Dead instead
-
Yes, I was referring to the fact that Sorenson was a former Wellington halfback in the late 1980s.
Sorenson is essentially the 2IC at NZR which implies that Teflon Tew isn't going anywhere in a hurry. Tew himself bided his time under Moller before being given the top job.

I expect the reason Sorenson is resigning is MN5 has no idea who he is.
(Actually not sure if the last three words of that sentence are necessary ... )

Unkind (but fucking funny) and I need a laugh watching the Craps.

He'll be thrilled someone is actually taking an interest in this shit thread though

Best halfback to not make the all blacks?
Discuss .....Neil Sorensen is it in my 30 odd years of watching.
Well done on 17 years service. It's been a pretty successful 17 years he's played a part in. Even if, as MN5 infers (I think), it's below the headlines.

Discuss .....He would be up there, and it was mentioned at the time. I would include Kevin Putt in the conversation over that time period.
-
Oh yeah, forgot about Putt.
Second best then .....Dean Kenny was another fine halfback of Sorensen's era, but he got on an AB tour in 86 and played some tour matches.
-
Putt did play for the Boks though
-
How about Brett Iti?
-
@booboo said in Neil Sorensen leaving NZR:

After he was spurned by Mains.
Khan Fotuali'i was talked up by some.
-
Yeah Iti and Fotuali over Sorenson. Iti probably left a bit soon though.
-
Iti came back with plenty of years still to play. I recall reading that in around 95.What happened to him? Injuries?

I think injury basically finished his Bradford contract.
