AFL 2018

  • Could one of these teams kick straight?

  • This game is a bit shit.

  • Two easy wins to start the finals.

    Geelong were rubbish.

  • Yeeeeeessss Dees!!! Great opening quarter set the game up and from there it was attritional and poor kicking from both sides until we pulled away again late. I thought we were gonna shit our pants in Q3 and early in Q4 but there was a composure and resolve which bodes well for kicking on deeper into September. The commentators were all creaming themselves over our ability and style after the hooter. I'm getting closer to having to blow a wad on a trip.

  • Didnt see the game but looking at the score im guessing there was a fair bit of this going on

  • So we have Melb v Hawks on friday night , winner plays West Coast the following Saturday

Pies V GWS on Sat , winner plays the Tigers the following Friday night

  • And in further evidence the current trading laws only work one way, the 2nd worst team are likely to lose their 2 best players this summer, and both are going to go to top 4 sides. .

I've actually got the shits with the players now. They helped create the dumpster fire that is the Suns, and now they want to jump ship to somewhere easier. What fuckheads.

And as for the blokes who all want to move back to Melbourne because their missus misses her mum. Fuck off. Port should be furious at Polec, but he's not the only one.

    Come on the Dees tonight!

  • Dees!

Me neighbor nearly went home when the Hawks got within 2 goals in the 4th. But they got there.

West Coast next week to keep the dream alive

  • I enjoy Melbournes style, they just seem hungry and into everything. Fuck the midfielders must be fit. How was that crowd too. See the stats for the crowd at the MCG vs the Panthers Cronulla game. AFL just seems to get good crowds. It is a fun game to watch live as there are often lots of goals to celebrate etc.

  • Taking off my tigers hat, It’s fair to say like Richmond last year and the dogs the year before, they have that similar momentum , once you have that self belief, it can be a powerful thing . They are a genuine chance now .

Putting my tigers hat back on , hoping the pies and the giants have an energy sapping game tonight and run each other off their feet .

  • Good to see the Demons get through last night, hope they make the final Saturday now and are a chance to beat what looks like a tiring eagles team next weekend, having done it a few weeks ago at the same venue (although not with the intensity and atmosphere of what is finals footy). Thought the dees were going to lose it after a couple of soft frees awarded against them late in the game but they held their composure and kicked a few late goals.

Alot of people are looking at that game as a guide , something that is getting overlooked a little ,

West Coast had no Kennedy, and Darling was knocked out in the first ten minutes , like any side that loses its two main targets up forward , becomes significantly weaker ,they have kicked about 80 goals between them this year.

    Welcome aboard.

I think the Eagles will get a couple of players back, but momentum is a strange thing when it comes to finals.

Walking around Melbs this afternoon, rubbish weather, but plenty of black n white around (not AB jerseys).

Would looooooove the Giants to knock off the Pies.

  • C'mon pies!!

Growing up in Golden Bay and then moving to Aus in 1989 for easy work and double pay, choosing a football team was easy - didn't realise what family I'd inherited....

A real man never changes teams though 😛

  • Close game 8mins 5 points in it

The Vics crack me up mate. Such is the universal opinion, they don't even bother turning up to the G for finals between Collingwood and a foreign team. The MCG ain't full

  • I'm in a bar in Hua Hin, eye movement range of ago and wallabies, my team's are both holding slender leads, 3 mins to go each and a week to think about the ALL Blacks,

    And I think,

FUCK SPORT IS GREAT EH !!!!

    yes, I'm blind

    firstly, post of the year

How big is Friday night going to be in Melbourne?! Ticketek is crashing today for sure!! you could sell them MCG out twice for this i reckon.

Fuck a Dees v Pies GF would make me laugh, but hard to see it not being the top 2 seeds.

  • Pretty much no public sale for Friday's game, the members snapped them all up. AFL crowds really are amazing

I read an extra 300,000 in attendance this season.

    Extra.
