EPL 18/19

    Man City! Wow!

2-1 down with ten men away at Shalke at the 85 minute mark and they are now 2-3 up in the 90th!

Two goals in five minutes to win the leg. What was the defence doing?

  • Chelsea appear to be fucked for the foreseeable future

  • It’ll be a long time .... Klopp, Guardiola snd to a lesser extent Pochettino have built squads that can’t be beaten to the title in quick fashion.

We either stick with Sarri or give the next bloke 4 years.

Until you give him a chance to assemble his own squad it's a wasted year to fire him now.

Old squad, no transfers, stars possibly out. Coach maybe sacked. Who would they get to take the job?

I don't think a club like Chelsea will go for a young up and comer. At least not yet. They won't be satisfied without a reasonably big name

That doesn't answer, who would take a hopeless job with an owner barred from the country with a history of sacking managers? When you can't even transfer in players to suit your style?

  • Also I am convinced we'll lose to Man U this weekend.

Because the last 25-odd years have proven the natural order is liverpool don't win, and Man U are fucking fluffybunnies

  • Liverpool can't score at Manure. Finishes 0-0. Liverpool just one point ahead of City in the EPL table now.

  • Comedy in the mickey mouse cup final. Near the end of extra time and Chelsea keeper goes down injured and looks to be subbed off but has a massive dust up with his own manager and somehow manages to over-rule him and stays on the pitch! What a humiliator

Gone to Pens and if this keeper loses it for Chelsea he won't get out of the stadium I imagine. If he makes the winning Pen save then he will be a hero!

  • City have fucked this up for everyone. Liverpool go to the 4th place side, and get a point, and it's a disaster.

27 games, 20 wins, 1 loss, and Liverpool lead by a point. Spurs are on target for 80+ in 3rd for christ's sake.

  • Brendan Rodgers back in the Prem, taking the Leicester job

Do they have to play City again? He may do his old club a favour?

    Rafa did his part.

    Final day, I believe... 🙂

  • In the end, Liverpool's 5-0 over Watford means no more than City's 1-0 over the Hammers. But jesus they needed a decent performance after the last month or so.

Current crisis club Chelsea knocking over Spurs probably goes close to shutting out Tottenham's last outside chance at knicking it. Arsenal v Spurs this weekend is suddenly very tasty.

  • @dogmeat Ranieri is goneburger. If ever there was a blueprint on how to cock up an EPL season after promotion while spending a lot of cash then Fulham have done it perfectly.

  • Thats a terrible decision. WTF was he supposed to do??

  • Even before this sacking I was only musing yesterday how tragic it is to have given up on your team before March.

TBF we didn't get the Premiership winning Ranieri but the real issue has to be with the leadership of the club and more specifically recruitment.

We spent $100 mill over the summer bringing in 12 players which clearly unsettled the side. More importantly we did nothing to address the obvious defensive frailties. The Manager has negligible influence on who is bought and I wonder if the owners stick their nose into selection as well in order to try and justify their purchases as some of the teams chosen have been bizarre.

On top of all that some of the really high profile signings have simply not fronted and Ranieri has refused to play the key players from last season.

Must be something wrong with the culture in the squad as well because they have now twice this year demonstrably given up trying for two different gaffers.

All so different to 12 months ago. Fulham is clearly a vanity project for Shahid Khan who is demonstrating he is the worst king of owner. Both times we've gone down on his watch he's gone through 3 Managers in a season. It's inexcuseable. Despite its shortcomings the Fulham squad should not be in this position. I truly believe we probably would have been better off with last seasons starting line up.

    Fucking disgraceful.
