Reports here say 6.1 near New Plymouth. Everyone ok?

So the epicentre was SW of Taumarunui. I didn't feel any rumbles from < 200 kms away.

The first news I saw about this is that Harry and Meghan didn't feel it. Wow what a relief.

Short but decent shake in porirua, then a good few sec of gentler rolling.

Felt it. Did nothing then went back to fucking round on the fern instead of doing paperwork.
Didn't feel the need to post it on FB unlike so many others either.

Well thank God you posted about it on the Fern.
You guys are like family to me. I know you want to know I'm ok.

Scanning through the Stuff article most people near the epicentre felt little or nothing. Bigger shakes in the lower NI and SI.

Anything deep in Central NI tends to throw waves out that get felt far more in places like Welly.
They're the ones that you hear coming like a truck. Luckily they also tend to have lost any sharpness by the time they are felt.
Mind you I have been up Ruapehu when there was one centered nearby. That was a bit freaky.
