For the first time this season, the Thompson twins will be playing together for Marist St Pat's Premiers. Didn't happen sooner due to injury.
Also due to time working as a waitress in a cocktail bar

Probably more of a provincial post, however this was the Wellington XV that played Manawatu today.
Notable players: Connor Garden-Bachop playing at Fullback and Josh Southall (number one ranked NZ 1st XV player last year) making his long awaited return from injury.
-
@Canes4life You neglected to give us the result of the match which after a bit of googling I can let everyone know that it was 'Poo XV 47 - 40 Wellington XV. A result like that gives us HB supporters (or this one anyway) no joy whatsoever even taking into account the beaten side are ranked only marginally behind the 'Poo in the dislike stakes.

As everyone loves a corrector ... that was Human League.
Hold Me Now, but you've got your 80s bands mixed up. The waitress was a (Human) Leaguie

Fuck, of all people I hoped didn't see this I hover over the upvote and see @Bones has already picked up on it.
He audits all of my fern errors so ruthlessly, he must be an accountant in real life.

A good win for my club Te Rapa over Pirongia. A rare win and means a win against Putaruru will mean we will be top seed for semi final. Putaruru have improved since we beat them so it should be a great game. A big day for the club next Saturday with all teams at home and the Clydesdales Presidents celebrating 40 years.
-
Probably one of the worst midfield combos in NZ playing Club Rugby this weekend.
-
@Canes4life Apisai on the bench...
-
@KiwiMurph interesting, you would think he would concentrate on improving his scrummaging.
-
@KiwiMurph Both of the Ories props are wiley experienced players (won't use the word veteran but thats what they are) both of whom have spent time with Wellington Lions contracts. The Norths team are bound to have similar props in their lineup as well. It might be prudenbt to place Fidow out of the firing line, so to speak, when those sort of players are involved!
