Avi Yemini exposes Jim Jefferies & Comedy Central

So this has popped up on a couple other threads, looks like it has legs and is getting great promotion on alt media.
In short Comedian and regressive sell-out 'Jim Jefferies' invited conservative Australian commentator 'Avi Yemini' on his show a few months back. Jim's team chopped up the interview to make Avi look terrible, associated videos of white supremacists and Nazi images and then released it in the wake of the mosque shooting in order to cash in on that attrocity and paint Avi as a supporter of the shooter. Pretty sickening stuff really.
Still..so what? this is standard comedy central and even mainstream media media fare now for years right? I mean you go on these shows you know what they will do...except however Avi set up a hidden camera and exposed exactly what Jim did as well as what Jim said about Muslims when he thought it would be 'off record'.
Avi has now released part of the video and this has been going viral. Facebook has responded naturally by.....banning Avi. Jim's social media feeds are now just fill with people calling him out for being a hypocritical fluffybunny.
Avi's announced plans to sue and him and fellow Aussie youtuber Sydney Watson now have plans to fly to the US to confront Jimbo and have been invited to appear on both The Rubin Report and Louder With Crowder.

Just strikes me as a cocksure aussie with a few too many tickets on himself.
Plus after a few clips you notice he cuts off EVERYONE mid-sentence so he can slowly continue talking about himself some more and do some more namedropping. Plus his whole colonial educating of the seppos thing got old fast. The yanks are busting a gut but I'm thinking wft this just sounds like some drip down the pub cracking a fat over the sound of his own voiceI googled him to look at some of his "comedy" and got distracted by stories of Jim Jeffries the old time boxing champ.
Sounds like I'm missing very little.
Is he a guy that used to be funny ? I'm sure people who's opinions on comedy I value have said he was good back in the day.

@MN5 his spiel on the 2nd amendment was pretty good - that's a few years old and I think what landed him his US contracts. He also had a couple of funny (not in a dick way) sound-bytes with Jordan Peterson in an interview. But his more recent stuff has been a bit meh, and his latest antics are shit.

He used to have dark humour and mock the sort of person he’s become. I was very disappointed watching his show.

Ironically JJ is just following JP's advice, i.e. don't apologise and keep your head down for a couple of weeks. Doesn't make him any less of a prize fuckwit though.

To me the biggest lesson here is not so much hypocrisy but how vulnerable our perceptions are to the editing cutting room floor.
Media companies, especially TV ones change interviews to portray a narrative very very often. Don't be fooled to think media companies are trying to help anyone but their ratings, and, as we've learned, outrage is apparently our strongest emotion to fulfill these ratings

@Rembrandt see, I just can't understand why this stuff happens so blatantly.
Of course I have to leave some space for another explanation but Avi simply and clearly exposed some dishonest behaviour that was transmitted to an unsuspecting audience.
Seriously this shutting down of honesty is very very concerning.
I understand that most of the population in their daily lives can't feel or see the damage this can have on our societal values, but shit, that's how cancer works....until it kills you.
I can't just ignore 50 years of discovering how and by what means we coexist in society and acquiesce to this frankly, fascist authoritarian behaviour.

More details: Looks like Comedy Central had told the FBI that Yemini and Watson were heading over to physically attack Jefferies...They even provided an old photo of Yemini with an assault rifle from his military days...
After 8 hours of detention they found a technicality to deport him. Sydney could stay as she has US citizenship but she was still interrogated and searched. I know Sydney reasonably well and this is absolutely ridiculous.
Anyway this is really starting to blow up internationally and in the long run is going to do wonders for Yemini and Watson's profile as well as be an absolute disaster for Jefferies.

And every official he spoke to readily admitted the farce of the situation which is always heartening to hear.
Dead set case of Comedy Central (I don't know what else to call them) trying to completely wipe his story, about the JJ stitch up, from the net and public consciousness.
Worth following to see if a corporation can actually wipe a pretty big fake news story out of easy reach, and get away with it -
@Siam Well Avi's profile is skyrocketing from this, all he needs now is Joe Rogan to make a comment and it could move into the mainstream.
Avi is damn stupid to have left himself open to a visa technicality, you just don't mess with that sort of thing. Will be interesting to see if the next application gets accepted.

Perhaps 10 million a year he gets paid? We've certainly found his sell out price. Once upon a time he was an excellent comic from working class roots
Worth noting that he just delivers writing on a teleprompter, but by God the direction from the writers is shallow, vapid and disingenuous

The night Trump was elected, a bunch of comedians got together to do a podcast -Stanhope, Burr, Rogan and a few others all got drunk, smoked pot and made jokes. Jeffries turns up unannounced and uninvited to this with his toddler and man did the mood change. Not sure how well liked this clown is anymore amongst other comedians
