Given that all us rugby "stakeholders " have already made up our minds on this issue which has nothing to do with catching, passing and tackling, the end result will just be "meh", ( and in 2 years be an obsolete reference)
It's just another win for high fee charging lawyers. Games the rich people play
That's all it is

@Stargazer he should have added if you are a sinner, please do not donate as I dont want YOUR money.
-
@barbarian Is he a multi-millionaire?
I know he signed a big contract but that's what they are tearing up. I'm sure he is in a better position than most people but without the current contract and being ostracized internationally he may not be in a position to work again. -
@Rembrandt His deal with the GWS Giants in the AFL was worth $4.2m. Now he only stayed for half of that, but then he signed a deal with rugby worth an estimated $1m per season (in 2014). And he was undoubtedly on good coin with the NRL before he even went to AFL.
That doesn't include endorsement deals, of which he has had plenty.
Unless he's got a secret gambling/drug habit we don't know about, he is definitely a multi-millionaire.

@barbarian what a joke!
-
@barbarian Fair enough. I guess it comes down to what lifestyle he leads (humble church man...) or maybe if his church is one of those ones that take in money from its flock. I'm sure there will be a few people whispering things in his ear.

It's nice to see Folau's GoFundMe in it's rightful position at the top of the GoFundMe charts.
I bet these other three losers couldn't catch a high ball to save their lives.
... but Jesus told him too..
Yeah that pic is like a game of ‘which one of these is not quite like the other..’

Remember he's not doing this for himself guys... he's fighting the good fight on behalf of others! So why should he personally have to carry the cost, sheesh!
And as a few posters have noted the shit thing is he'll get a lot of money from a lot of people in a far worse off spot than him.
-
Ultimately nobody is being forced to donate and as long as it's spent for the specified purpose then fair enough. What I'd like to know is whether he'd be going the legal route if it all had to come out of his own pocket.
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel well then the principle would be different...

@Kirwan seriously tho a lot of the hardcore Bible bashers here are throwing cash into it, like this is the pinnacle of free speech/religion judgements; an existential threat or something
He's probably not the hero people want but I think many will be looking to this as someone making a stand. There is definitely a lot of pent up angst in Australia at the excesses of the progressive movement especially over the events of the last 2-3 years and the refusal of many to call it out, Folau might just be the symbol of a resistance even if it might look like he is money grubbing to many.

100 percent with Drew
Nah that's fucked up. Completely uncalled for. So he can't use GoFundMe because there are more worthy causes?
