Steven Crowder

This is a good response from YouTube to a viral tweet from a Vox reporter complaining about/advocating for banning Crowder.
It's funny because this Vox reporter is pretty well known for his lies and smears against Conservatives. I don't think he should be banned, but if they were to ban Crowder than they'd really have to ban him as well.
He's obviously not too happy that his political adversary didn't get banned after his tweet went viral. Speaks volumes about his mindset and the value he places on free speech.
-
The entitlement of Maza is funny. He doesn't like something so therefore no one else should be able to see it. A complaint must result in a ban.
Crowder is a hack who grabbed a hold of a particular niche... but he's pretty easy to avoid if you don't like him.
-
Wow actually surprising response from Youtube..then again I do wonder if it has more to do with Crowder's lawyer on retainer who has had a number of victories against Youtube censorship of late.
Or maybe the decision could be in relation to a subsection of the conservative right (ie Milo etc) has also been pushing for Crowder's ban as some sort of acceleration plan to get more mainstream conservatives onto alt-media and hasten FB/twitter/YT downfall.
Or maybe it was because his heartfelt apology for all the terrible things he's said in the past

Yeah, I struggle to watch Crowder's videos. He's not particularly funny and is full of over the top hyperbole. But this call to authorities to punish people they don't like seems to be a fairly common trait these days, particularly among the younger generations. It's not overly surprising, my boy gets taught at school to tell the teacher if anyone is being mean, instead of resolving the conflict themselves. The cotton-wool generations coming through don't seem very well equipped to deal with the real world. Jonathan's Haidt's book 'The Coddling of the American Mind' has been on my reading list for ages, I really need to look at that to understand it more.
That said, the response from YouTube did surprise me given how much attention/support Maza's tweets got. There are some serious meltdowns among his viewers in progress right now as a result.
With all the talk about government's regulating speech on social media I hope they do take a bit of a stance on the side of free speech.

Yes, I suspect that the fact Crowder has lawyered up helped his cause more than anything. But YouTube shouldn't have even given that ridiculous little creature the time of day. He slags the shit out of people he doesn't like and then goes all crybaby when they smash him back.

Just realised pathetic man-child Maza works for Vox, not Vice.

"harmed the broader community"
How exactly were they harmed?
Tired of this rubbish talk

They should also do some research into whether pushing ideas underground actually works, or just increases the chances of radicalisation....

I’m sure Vice hate Crowder too .

Oh he just needs to delete the link to his T-shirts. YouTube is having a meltdown trying to appease the mob.
And now because of you he'll sell a shit load more of that merch you pathetic, pig-faced little gimp.
Still absolutely pathetic of YouTube to demonetize him. An alternative platform is inevitable now.
-
Just caught the tail end of Crowders live stream. So the formal advice they received from youtube is that the 'Socialism is for figs' t-shirt is offensive and they don't like late night hosts telling jokes which could be offensive. They also pointed out 2 videos that broke their guidelines but won't say what guideline exactly or where the problem is in the video. One is the show where they interviewed Blair White who is a conservative transgender woman and the other is where they interviewed a UK woman who was a victim of gangrape in one of those dozens of scandals which were for the most part covered up for decades.
I do wonder what the alternative could be. Google has a lot of clout and they back mainstream news outlets. Any alternative will immediately be labelled 'Nazi (gab/bitchute) and then lose payment processors or be banned by entire countries (Australia with bitchute) . I'm sure St Jacinda's (may peace be on her name) social media deal might touch on this, I'd be guessing the next step to create our utopian society, free of offense and where everyone must think the same is to ban vpns.
It's all a very interesting backdrop to be reading 'The Gulag Archipelago' to.
-
@Rembrandt do we think the latest attempt at purging, which has obviously caught up a bunch of accounts it shouldn't have, is in response to Vox? Twitter going a bit crazy linking everything to it at the moment.
Regardless the wider issue remains. I think this is really highlighting just how impossible it is to regulate "hate speech". They're trying to do it on one platform, with billions of dollars behind them and the latest technology/algorithms, and they're making an absolute dogs breakfast of it because it's impossible to define in any meaningful way.
-
@No-Quarter I think it's about giving a free ride to Democrats for next year and to hell with hypocrisy and double standards.
Get what we want now (unconditional power) and fuck the greater good or actual equality or a coherent strategy, has been the MO of these ideologues from the outset as far as I can see.
That no one can adequately define hate speech is of no interest, apparently.
-
It’s Big Tech trying to do everything in their power to make sure Trump isn’t re-elected, and extinguish conservatism, especially the populist variant.
-
Vox doubling down. And why not. Stamping their feet and crying like babies has been successful for them this far.
The absurd thing is that the ridiculous lizard creature Maza labels Tucker Carlson a white supremicist in his bio and advocates milkshaking. That's a label far worse than anything Crowder called him and he's literally advocating violence. If YouTube actually gave a shit about enforcing their own guidelines then this horrific excuse for a human being would be getting sanctioned, not Crowder.
-
Well done lizard creature:

There is a hell of a lot of insanity going down at the moment. History channels, atmospheric music, independent journalist's all banned for hate speech. Crowders subs going up and mugclub subscriptions gone through the roof. Maza has removed a lot of people's livelihoods and at this point it does appear to be part of a coordinated campaign to remove dissenting voices from YouTube, in part due to media organisations not being able to compete with independent creators.
It wasn't that long ago that crazy vegan who had her channel demonetised went to shoot up YouTube offices.
A lot of people are very angry.
-
@Rembrandt the change my mind things he does are good. I felt initially he was too harsh on students given he's had plenty of real-world experience now, but the last one I saw he'd toned it down a bit and was having some good dialogue.
-
@No-Quarter Yeah I think its the best thing he's done. His little skit vids can be pretty funny and his point by point with sources debunking of vox & other organisation propaganda videos are very good (clearly a little too good considering recent events).
-
Youtube ratcheting their censorship up a notch. Just banned a popular channel (500,000 subs) for doing a pro-free speech video critical of vox and other media outlets championing censorship.
It appears that even criticising Carlos Maza's actions will now remove one's livelihood. The video itself is extremely tame. Will be many more to come now if this is the new standard.
-
It isn’t surprising that Steven Crowder is a massive tool off camera .
He did get someone to kneel on his neck for 8 minutes to “prove George Floyd died of an overdose not from the knee after all .
It is surprising that he would try and bully his heavily pregnant wife into handling some medication for his dog that’s toxic to pregnant women though .
I’d say his days as a podcaster/breadtuber are over for a while . Bet the Daily Wire are stoked they didn’t hire this choad.
-
He’s always been a massive twat. The Landau contract info from a couple of weeks ago was unbelievably petty/controlling
Years ago he declared a second virginity when he got engaged to his soon to be former wife. She was a virgin so he larped as a born again virgin on various conservative media. He got banned from a Fox News show during this time because he kept on trying to fuck one of the hosts girlfriend.. somebody that was helping his career by putting him on tv
Looking at him in recent months I would guess he takes a lot of a adderall
-
@Duluth I was surprised Landau spoke up, the other co hosts who quit/got fired haven’t said much because they signed NDAs and I guess fair enough because Crowder can afford better lawyers than them .
The only times I’ve noticed the turd lately was when he dressed up as a fat woman and got into some fat studies zoom call, which reminds me he dresses up as a chick an awful lot for someone who’s always ranting about the moral degeneracy of the left . The other was when he said $50 mill for 4 years work was “slavery”.
He will probably blame adderall for the video or some such bullshit.
Is it true he got into political commentary after failing hard as an actor or comedian?
-
He was a standup. I think the no sex before marriage shit was when he swapped grifts
There’s a very cringey video of him arguing with Amy Schumer on that topic about a decade ago. This was when Schumer was still appearing on shows like O&A and hadn’t gone nuts

Found it and couldn’t make it all the way through, the cringe was so strong .
I hope Jimmy Dore is the next one to be busted , he’s basically the left wing Crowder only with massive anger management issues . Or Tim Pool, I’d prefer Dore to fuck off though . He even has a couple of hangers on paid to laugh at his lame jokes like Crowder and has regular meltdowns like this one .

The knives are out for Crowder alright, the left doesn't have to do anything, nearly every political commentator on the right is absolutely tearing him to shreds.

Good. If the bedrock of your political philosophy is family values, then a bloke being a massive fluffybunny to his pregnant wife is something that should be easy to criticise.

Yeah 100%, but it's even more than that, loads of them have met him and it's like they were waiting for their chance to go to town on the fuckwit as they've hated him all along.
