Hi can anyone help me with this. Currently setting up modest home gym in my tiny garage. Would like to get a full power cage but a ‘half rack’ cage is more realistic given the space.

All the online articles comparing pros and cons say that you can do loads more exercises with a full cage but I can’t think of any. The half cage has safety bars and a bar across the top, so fine for squats, bench presses, pull ups etc.

You can also get dip bar extensions like with a full cage.

      What am I missing here?

      Thanks!

Might come down to how you can anchor the half rack to the floor? Where a full rack would be more solid etc.

Lots of fail vids on half-racks where it tips!

You could possibly store more weight on a full rack? But I'd think a half would be fine for most stuff.

Seems a half rack can be narrower. But if its got a pull up bar at the top it sounds good. Unless you dont have ceiling room to avoid banging your head!

Go to the park. Use your sons as weights.

              This will get you jacked.

              Guaranteed.
