Yeah TR have been doing that and concentrating on form, ie dead hang every time. Reckon I could possibly smash out 20 good form pull ups now but 50 at my weight in a matter of weeks ? fuck no, the tennis elbow would get me first surely. It's a really good programme but I think 50 would be a bridge too far for damn near anyone to be honest.

So having jumped to Day 1 of Week 3, I'm wondering why. Could barely get through it and know the old pecs will be hurting tomorrow... Had to go to knees to get the last set done, and took LOTS of rest at the top of the press... ow...

Downloaded the app for Android just for shits n gigs. We'll see where that leads, but at least it means I don't have to remember everything or spreadsheet it.

Touching on what I wrote on NTAs thread. I got my numbers up for a wee while but then regressed a tiny bit ( but still better than where I started ). My advice to youse fullas doing this ( which I took awhile to heed ) is have a week or more off if you don't get any better on any given workout.<br />

As for Taniwhas 50 Pull ups this ain't happening anytime soon unless I cut myself off at the ribcage.

I'd nearly forgotten all about this! Found it difficult to keep going past a certain point BUT I reckon combining this with Kea's suggested pullup routine might actually deliver benefits.

Yeah brudda, working both kind of benefits the other muscle group I believe. With the push ups I'm stuck in the 80's and not in a good way. Like my career I'm gonna do the old two steps back to move three steps forward and go back to some of the "easier" weeks in an attempt to blitz it well and truly. With the Pull ups 20 full range good ones would be awesome, have restarted that 50 pull up thing although doing that would be nothing short of extra ordinary......

I havent tried this specific programme, but still incorporate 100 push ups into some of my work outs, but as my target is 100 I dont max out the first set otherwise I'd probably need a big break in between sets to complete 100 and the object of my exercise is to do 100 with 5-10 sec max rest between sets

The program does help build the number of reps, but I found I kept having to take longer rests to achieve the numbers they want

Yeah I stubbornly try and rest as requested and no longer but the shoulders dictate that I should rest a week before shooting for 90 reps. As I think I alluded to I haven't done "weights" as such for ages and my workouts at the moment are 100% bodyweight stuff and eating well. People have said I look a bit more "ripped" which is nice ! Garage is full of weights strewn all over the place so my "Gym" is a bit hap hazard and if guys in prison can build the bodies they do with fuck all equipment then so can I !

36 on Thursday, gonna have to gracefully admit defeat I'm picking, pleased with the improvement I've made but 90 might have to be the goal for now......got my oldest boy having a crack at a few too ( not yet 5 ) which I think will be good for his UBS before he starts school.
