I found this quote from Conor McKenna, the Essendon player that sparked the cancelled game 3 weeks back, to be pretty interesting
“On the Friday it’s called a false positive … so I had to get retested on the Saturday and that came up positive,” McKenna said on the Teamtalkmag Tyrone Facebook page.
“And then I got retested on the Tuesday and I got negative.
“So to be honest I still don’t really know what happened, and then I tested negative probably three times in a row in that week and got bloods done.
“That showed that maybe I had it six weeks ago maybe when I was in Ireland after a flight, so there’s really still no clarity."
This virus is so bad, you need to get tested to know you have it, and even then, you might not have it, or you might have had it before and not now.

Best we all panic based on inaccurate testing.

@Bones are you trying to cancel culture something? That's it - you're going on the list. My white privilege is being threatened!!!!

This strain seems to be much more virulent than what we had before.
Could be environmental? Colder weather combined with a snap back community relaxation

Victoria has recorded 428 cases of the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, The Australian understands.
Multiple sources have told The Australian of the record daily increase in case numbers of COVID-19.
Victoria’s Department of Premier and Cabinet declined to confirm the number.
Of the 428 new cases recorded on Friday, 370 are under investigation.Given their abject failure in contact tracing, small wonder they're seeing increasing numbers.

Apparently there's more than 400 new cases in Victoria today.
It's getting really ugly, and it's now in more than 35 nursing homes.
This strain seems to be much more virulent than what we had before.
My sister lives in Melbourne and they expect to be in level 4 shortly. She is farken spewing, seriously thinking about moving home

The election of Chairman Dan should've been sufficient warning.

She and the family have lived there for 9 years (?). Schools, business, she won't be seriously moving. But the way everything has been managed is making NZ feel a whole lot further away right now. So much for Aussie doing it better. I was talking to a patient today, born in England and keeps in regular contact with the folks back in the UK. Says everyone is losing jobs, the High Street is deserted, not locking down early and hard is not good for the economy

I cringe everytime I hear 'Chairman Dan'. It's such a hacky slogan.
I don't have a huge amount of time for Andrews, but he's just as responsible for hotel security guards as Gladys was for the Ruby Princess. Which is to say he hasn't covered himself in glory but it's a bit silly to be calling for his resignation.
