@MiketheSnow You enter in your test results ... no idea about the rest.

So Boris is going to be addressing everyone again later, apparently flanked by Chris and Paddy.
What's happening next? Pubs close?

Not really much written about it / expected I don't think. After his mess up yesterday, he doesn't seem to have a huge amount of respect from anybody in the media anymore, so it's basically just another reason for people to criticise.

2 week full country shut down over October half-term school holidays to push the reset button.
Joke.

@MiketheSnow is this what's happening?

Not the worst idea, but it won't happen. Too much politics.

Missus works in the tourist sector. Being mooted.

@MajorRage haha! Dick joke about a guy named Hancock! Sharp stuff.
Yep pretty shallow and puerile. It's no surprise I find it amusing.

UK Daily deaths graph, which I can't figure out how to upload, STILL not showing anything which ought to be cause for alarm.
When will scientists accept that infections are only a risk if the proportion turning into serious illness is significant?
-
@pakman The only justification for the universal over-reaction to the "second wave" is I guess a fear that deaths are low because we know more about treatments and procedures and have the equipment in place to better manage hospitalised patients but that if numbers get too high it'll be Lombardy all over again.
Which does make sense. There must come a point at which any countries health service is overwhelmed but it does seem as though politicians are being overly cautious.

From a ski forum I frequent
"I work for the NHS (whatever that's worth) and C19 is over. The week before last 75 died of C19 and 150 took their own lives. There has been a shift from deaths to cases even though the latter does not automatically lead to the former, this makes it easier for panicking politicians to postpone the reckoning likely coming this month when the furlough scheme is further scaled back.
The problem is the hysterical government overreaction not the virus."

Seriously? The govt that was trashed / destroyed by all 'n sundry for not taking it seriously, is now being quoted as being hysterical?
It's crystal clear that the govt do NOT WANT lockdowns again at all, but they have to take some steps to reduce spread. I don't agree with the 10pm pub thing, I think that's retarded. But I'd hardly call them hysterical.
