To be fair Carrie Fisher hated wearing that bikini and that whole scene. So it wasnt just some woke moment 30 years later.
Only thing she enjoyed was choking the shit out of Jabba.That’s because she was extremely body conscious and had an eating disorder. I don’t think it was because she was so indignant about being a sl**e. At the end of the day she kills the fat prick.
She was also a feminist who hated that they objectified Leia into a sex symbol. No doubt to hook in a few extra nerds, it was designed by Lucas himself.
Even Harrison Ford said it was a stupid choice to wear.Was likely a throw back to Racquel Welch's bikini from One Million Years BC too.
When you watch the making of ROTJ she doesn’t seem to be hating it. Quite the opposite. Shades of Scarlett Johansen suddenly objecting to playing a character that uses sex appeal.
I don’t get how it demeans the character. It showed a rough sexy side that you don’t see in the first 2 and she looks amazing. Rather do that than be frozen in carbonite or have a hand chopped off.

Read an interesting theory after the recent Bad Batch episode.
As we have found out that Omega is
:::
the equivalent of Boba Fett genetically (an unaltered clone of Jango)
:::
there is a possibility that Boba may appear in the BB storyline and form a connection with Fennec Shand. This would, of course, mean that they may already have had a partnership before the events of Mando and explain why it was that Boba found her on Tattoine. Could also then foreshadow the story we are waiting for in BOBF on how he got out of the Sarlacc.
If true I like the way that Boba is becoming an increasingly tied in character and that Shand is providing another cool 'anti-hero) -

@crucial I dont know how much of a spoiler that is, we found out in the first episode she was a clone like the others and the fact she was a child suggested she was like Boba
Agree. Just thought someone might think it was so played safe. Not a huge revelation but there were also other theories around.
Something I haven't read much about is how when Omega and Shand were 'fighting' they crashed open one of those cloning tubes with the Snoke like forms inside. The one that came out certainly was the size and look of Snoke himself. I might be reading too much into things but it also landed on it's face.

@kiwiwomble I think I like getting to know a small group of characters and following them as they progress. Same with SW Rebels

@canefan interesting, i was the opposite, will watch the next series but fet there were too many filler episodes and side missions, i like how clones wars often had 3-6 episode arcs with the odd filler episode
I think some of those side mission type eps were used to set up future stories for this show and others. Pretty sure that some of the characters will reappear in Mando/Boba. Was also good to see the origin story for Rebels.

@crucial all very true, think i would have prefered just a bit more of a arc for the team rather than setting up, im sure it will all pay of
I think they had to tell the story of the demise of the Clones first as well as how clones did actually have personalities alongside inhibitor chips. Now they are real characters.
