Have we covered the Bermuda Triangle in this thread? Any stories @Snowy ?
Not from me. Never flew over there (went around it - just kidding) and everybody I knew
who didis missing...Correlation/causation
There has to be a position. Everybody that I know isn't missing.
Some are in the wine cellar for sure.

@Snowy journos went on the cargo flights not Air Force as I first thought based on the herald article above. Story I heard may have been embellished over time but the story I got did originate from one of the people mentioned in the herald article

The first part of this will discredit the rest but here goes...
Me and 3 mates were getting stoned one night. We were about 18ish. Our venue of choice was a local primary school in Lower Hutt. Central to all of our homes and a seldomly busy spot at night. We had been talking some shit about each others mums. One of the guys took it to heart and went and sat in the middle of the field to sulk. The remaining 3 of us eventually went over to have another crack at upsetting him further. We were all laid out looking up at the sky. A satellite went by and obviously we all immediately said "UFO!". We had all seen a satellite continue on a straight path before so once we realised that was what we saw, it was al very anti-climatic. Still, it was a hot summer night and the sky was very clear. Perfect for 4 under the influence idiots to sit there and contemplate life. however long later my mate said, "look at that, a shooting star!". We all saw it and we were for lack of a better term "buzzing out". All of a sudden it very quickly changed direction. We all shot up to our feet and then it changed direction again. Before we could say anything it was gone.
It wasn't a plane as it was up impossibly high for it to be an aircraft. It wasn't a satellite either. None of us know what it was. But we all saw it.

Higher than you?
To me it sounds like a small meteor burning up then bouncing.

@MajorRage firstly, very clever.
It’s not the first time down one has mentioned it could have been a meteor breaking up on entry. Seems viable. Prefer the romanticism of it possibly being something unexplainable.
Yeah, sorry for offering that. I'm pretty sure it was ET on his way home as well. Just offering a viable alternative for those that get freaked out by the thoughts of us not being alone.

I had a teacher in college that was absolutely convinced he had a UFO encounter. If you asked him about it he'd spend the rest of class recounting the story. I don't remember all the specifics now but he was on a field and it flew down right above him before flying off.

Then there's this

What makes a nice dungeon?
For me, it's how many bottles of decent Bordeaux and Pinot Noir it can store.
Other people, I am given to understand, have rather more outre criteria...

I can't understand why aliens would be visiting here, seems the height of hubris to me.
However if we are to be contacted, I fervently hope they are nothing like us - given our track record of how well meetings with more technologically advanced peoples have worked out for the inhabitants of earth.

Let’s just hope if they use public transport to visit us that they wear a mask.

@No-Quarter one day someone will use a decent camera to capture footage/images of Aliens, Big Foot & Nessie, and maybe also on CCTV cameras to catch criminals!
