Is Perofeta still injured?
-
That is a stacked team. Brown to move into lock in the 2nd half.
Chiefs Country Cup is on the line too.
-
looking at that side suddenly the $1.90 on offer is giving away money
-
wow...good opportunity for the Bay to get their combinations right for next week, going to need more than a few things go our way to get past this team!
-
@Duluth Haven't seen him in any preseason teams.
-
Emoni Narawa, Joe Webber, Mathew Skipwith-Garland, Chase Tiatia, Fa'asiu Fuatai, Dan Hollinshead, Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi, Sam Cane, Mitch Karpik, Aaron Carroll, Keepa Mewett, Kane Le'aupepe, Jeff Thwaites, Nathan Vella, Aidan Ross (c)
Reserves: Kurt Eklund, Haereiti Hetet, Tevita Mafileo, Zane Kapeli, Joe Tupe, Luke Campbell, Otere Black, Regan Ware
-
There is some confusing stuff going on with these team namings! Eklund and Black on the bench?
-
-
@Bones Yeah, Hollinshead ahead of Black??
-
Which Sky channel is this game on live on Sunday?
The Northland v Manawatu game , at the same time, is on Sky 51.

Cheers @Bovidae
-
Nice opening try to Tupou Vaai.
-
Good try by BOP. Looked like they had lost the advantage after BB ripped the ball off Cane.
-
7 all after 17 minutes.
Chase Tiatia has looked pretty dangerous so far.
Surely there is a business opportunity in teaching hookers how to throw the ball straight.
-
Good patient pick and goes from BOP see them score their second. 14 - 7 to BOP after 21mins.
BB has done a few aimless kicks and just handed over the ball.
-
Taranaki score an easy try from a nice lineout move. 14 all after 26mins
-
BOP having the better of the scrums so far. Ben May getting dominated.
-
Tiatia splits Taranaki open again. By far the most dangerous back on the field. Average defence from Jordie too.
19 - 17 BOP lead.
-
The team that has the ball looks like scoring every time - both defences shaky
-
If that BOP player has stopped that maul try it'll be an amazing piece of defensive work.
-
BOP player binned and a penalty try to Taranaki. Bit of a harsh call I reckon as the BOP player appeared to be behind the try line when all this occurred.
-
Enjoy Ben Castle as a commentator.
-
24 - 19 at halftime to Taranaki.
Been a fairly solid game so far. None of the All Blacks are standing out. BB has been kicking aimlessly and seems to be going through the motions. Jordie has kicked for goal like an absolute gun. Vaa'i scored a good try early but has been a bit anonymous since. Cane has run well off the back of the scrum but offered nothing else.
Tiatia my pick of the players so far.

Can you do anything if you're behind the line or is it that the ball needs to be over the line??
-
@KiwiPie No idea. I've shown time and time again on this forum that my grasp of the laws is slim at best.
-
Seems to be a big crowd for a game with no crowd .....
-
There is no offside once the ball is over the goal line but Carroll did look like he disengaged just before then, and he seemed to be in a offside position defending that maul.
-
There's a lesson in playing to the whistle - everyone stops for a knock on, Ormond runs on to score and eventually the TMO does call knock on even though it was far from clear cut
-
BOP are doing well wth 14 on the paddock. Only 1 minute left till they're back to 15 and they're winning the 2nd half 3-0. 24 - 22 to Taranaki.
-
Taranaki with a penalty advantage and the halfback wastes it by putting an aimless kick in behind BOP.
-
New All Black lock Vaa'i scores a nice try.

He's a great talent. Unfortunately - about time these ABs went into camp
-
Couple of good turnovers from Boshiar but he's been quiet otherwise. Couple of missed tackles from Vaa'i in the 2nd half but has looked good with ball in hand.
Been a real lacklustre second half. It's cool having the All Blacks playing but they for the most part don't appear to be playing with any real intensity.
-
@Toddy We look to have run out of ideas and the game has gone a bit low key - still only 9 points so still hope
-
BOP scrum has lost its dominance and Taranaki have taken advantage of it.
36 - 22 to Taranaki with 10 mins to play.
-
BOP have finally woken up in the 2nd half and they score a nice try in the corner created from a nice long pass from Otere. Otere has looked better than BB in his time on the field. 36 - 29 Taranaki lead.
-
That no look pass from the haircut resulting in a knock on has probably killed it off - let's hope we keep within 7.
-
Cane and Wainui off for a HIA.
