That's a very young and inexperienced frontrow.
Good to see Numia returning from injury via the bench.

And not a single, current All Black.

@Stargazer well some good news for the Bay but still a good side. I am really hoping for a different team sheet from the Bay this week, this cloak and dagger stuff around selections versus players injuries is really annoying. Until I see a team sheet I wont have any confidence in beating even this depleted Wellington side.

Asked about Savea’s percentage chance, Crowley quipped: “51-49”. He would see how Savea ran at training later on Wednesday and make a call “in the next 24 hours”.

@Duluth great to see Numia back. Hopefully Fidow's knock wasn't too serious.

@Canes4life Will probably still rule him out at least for 3 weeks due to stand down period I’d say.

Back line is decent, but that tight 5..... I don't know...
Glad they are staying with Procter at 15, I'm not a Renata fan at all, just seems too small to me.

At times our forward pack defended against Southland like they were still introducing themselves to each other, so that will balance out any Wellington inexperience....

    Also a good backrow.
One good enough lock and Blackwell. Blackwell was not too bad against Auckland but he can be shit at times

But a young front row so unsure how it will go. Thankfully Numia is back. The experienced old man at 22 edit (ops only 21 still. Born 29/11/98)

@Duluth wow, no Otere or Emoni and of course media silence as to why.. Trask at fullback?
Happy to see Cole Forbes in 23 though finally!

@bayimports Didn't Narawa injure his knee against Taranaki in round 1?

@Stargazer yep you're right, knee or shin, but no one has said anything since, so have no idea when we will see him back. (at the time it didn't look too bad, but obviously it is)

Is Carter injured as well, or Campbell just preferred?

They only had Renata at the back to counter DMac which obviously worked 😂 he’s played there before with no issues but he is getting on in years.

As for Blackwell he goes alright at this level it seems he just can’t make the step up.

Boy, you have to wonder what's happened to the Bay this year . Its pretty much the same team as last year but isn't playing near as well. The team looks to be less slick, less confident and lacking in ideas. The 2019 team was playing impressively right from preseason and didn't really falter right through. At this stage, you'd have to say, it appears to be almost a fight to survive being relegated.

However I'm prepared to cut them some slack as its still early days and injuries aren't helping but tonight they must perform !

@Snollygoster I agree Snolly, I know most teams haven't spent much time with each other, but Clayton even said he still had the nucleus of last years team still together and that should help. Clearly it hasnt! Players out of position every week and the fans have no idea about how serious any of the injuries are doesn't help either.

Still a couple of good names back this week, lets hope we can cause an upset.
