Hotels and Conferences in Auckland

Hey guys, any recommendations in central Auckland on where to host a fairly small one afternoon event including drinks, appetisers, and presentations, culminating in dinner? Could go to a second location for dinner.
Probably about 50 people max.
EDIT: Must have good facilities for guests to appear by video.

Mantells in Mt Eden. They have another branch down near the sail yards. Maritime museum have a function centre. If I think of more I'll add
-
@canefan Thanks. I forgot to add that it must have video conference facilities.
-
We had our wedding reception at maritime. Dawsons were the caterers and were outstanding. Anywhere they host functions will be good

yeah we had a function there a few years ago (I think it was there) IIRC was a bit chilly (but it was mid-winter) but food was good.

Not sure. Sorry
-
Cordis (Used to be called the Langham) Good facilities and adequate food and beverages
-
Eden Park
-
@Hooroo Thanks mate, was wondering if I could get a good price from a hotel.
-
@Tim you'd think any not doing Iso stuff would be keen for the booking?
-
@Hooroo they're building an extension at the moment so that could compromise it a bit.
@Tim I'd normally go a hotel just for the convenience of a one stop shop. Hilton's quite good but so many of them are plague hotels at the moment.
Victory Church down at Fanshawe Street is OK. Have you tried the Uni?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
Any thoughts on the new Hotel de Brett?
Have you tried the Uni?
Auckland Uni?
-
@Tim Yes. They have Conference facilities. I've not used them but given how much revenue they've lost ......
Not done de Bretts but it is a good location and the food and beverage side is damn fine.

You’re hosting a fern get together ? Fucken legend, good on ya. I’m free most weekends except first one in December. I’ll get back to you with any special dietary requirements.
Once again thanks dude. What a good sort.

Hmm, that's a good call actually ...
Good to know about de Bretts.

As you get into the wedding season which is soon, some places will be difficult on weekends as they will be set up for evening functions
-
@MN5 it's at Jetpark Hotel, near Auckland airport.
-
@dogmeat Yeah, and you have to prove that you've watched a rugby game this year.
-
@canefan Don't want to do a weekend, as I expect many people will have weekend vacation plans at this time of year.

It's not on the conference side that they are doing the build.

Harsh!!

Has Sky City been mentioned? I've attended a conference there and they have accommodation and restaurants on-site.

Small room at a hotel sounds solid then
-
MIQ have booked a fair number - otherwise I'd suggest Waipuna.
I'll second Auckland Uni - very reasonably priced, and always have great internet and video!
-
Has anyone been to Harbourside since its recent reopening? I've heard that it is very good now.
