            I don’t get this particular argument against Parisse. If Read played for Italy he’d have pretty much the same record. It’s not always about the ultimate achievements but also what you overcome.

                  I think you’re 50% right. Half think he’s good but not an 8. The other half are queuing up for a reach around.

                    That’s kind of the argument though.

                    The truly great inspire. The truly great lift those around and change games on their own.

                    It’s pretty hard to look at Italy over his tenure and argue they were anything other than shit, with no improvement. They may not have the quality of the top tier but they’ve been given all the tools to join and had Parisse.

                    At some point, he has to share that.

                            Italy haven’t won a six nations game since 2015. Even the cheeky wins against Scotland have dried up.
