@booboo i thought she'd been stood down and copped quite a bit of backlash?
Stood down for two weeks, people have been fired for less.

@kirwan fair enough, had only seen a headline saying stood down
Had to enjoy her telling a jew that the holocaust wasn't about race. Was epic.

@kirwan i did catch a couple of snippets, i kind of think i understand what she was trying to say, but it was really poorly done
I suspect she would have reacted badly to someone saying there is no such thing as racism, just mans inhumanity to man.

This sums it up for me.

@kirwan without doubt, it was the approach that it wasn't about race, ONLY mans inhumanity etc...there was a hell of a lot of "mans inhumanity to man" AS WELL AS a hell of a lot of racism...very weird and a bit stupid all around
It's the same issue with Joe. Both people are just comedians, who gives a fuck about their opinions? I wouldn't got to either for advice anything important.
Both exist to entertain, that's it. If they have a weird opinion, who cares?

@antipodean always comes back to CRT - I didn't know Whoopi was back in school

Superb commentary about Rogan critics pearl-clutching and fainting spells by America’s other media lightning rod.

Good to see Jon Stewart talking about the overreaction of artists leaving Spotify. But it sounds like a bunch of Joe's content has been taken down recently. If they are adding tags etc to his existing content they could possibly be pulling it till that is done. But adding some metadata to content ain't that hard...

It's amazing to me that these people think censoring people like Rogan won't just push people further to the fringes. And that censoring speech can only conclude with violence if taken too far. Humans are just doomed to repeat the same dumb mistakes for eternity.

Latest is Spotify is deleting podcasts now, some reaslly strange ones too, like the one with Bill Burr where he pushed back on Joe's vaccine comments. Would have been a good one to leave up as people watch that could have been exposed to the other side, without having to watch a podcast for three hours with a doctor.

Like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Whatever happened to not listening if it doesn't interest you?

No, the covid angle failed a few days ago. It’s moved to calling him a racist. It was never about covid.
The podcasts removed are almost all comedians. Many episodes from before covid. A naughty word was said. Context? That doesn’t matter
