Kaliopasi Uluilakepa
Didn't realise this guy was in their squad, a reincarnation of Big Billy perhaps? Putting things into perspective he appeared to start just three matches for Northland (v Tasman, Otago, and the nothing at stake season ending match against The Bay) and as a tighthead too boot. Now he suddenly seems to have the technical know how to start a higher level match at loosehead.
-
@duluth reserve lock Josh hill he's possibly the same guy from Otago right? unless there just so happens to be another lock in Melbourne by the name of Josh Hill
-
@fakatavafuture yes
-
@duluth Interesting move to allow Drua to start with 16 players. Might even the game up. But, could be an awkward scrum packdown with 2 number eights lol..

Copy and pasted from the official au site
They've corrected it now. Kitione Salawa is not in the side

@duluth lol. Cheers
-
@higgins he put in a solid performance at scrumtime last week vs a pretty strong Brumbie scrum.
His ability and skill isn't really an issue, it's his weight and fitness, think he's clocking about 140 still, which is only about 5kg less than when he was here last year (AFAIK he does not yet have an NPC contract...NRU still have issues with his fitness levels)
-
I assume there was a late injury for Kerr?
-
-
Rebels attack still sucks, Powell can’t tackle, Drua can’t win a lineout
-
That's a nice try by the Drua just before half-time while a man down.
The Rebels are very poor.
-
Rebels just assumed that pen would got touch. Drua 22-14
-
Go the Drua love watching them play .
-
Drua do a DMac with a quick tap from a penalty and Vota scores. 22-14.
-
Rebels are proper shit.
-
@kiwimurph imagine losing to a team that would be last in the NPC.
-
@kiwimurph Rebels tried to play an open style and it actually played into the Drua’s hands. Was fun to watch.
The try by the Drua openside was sweet.

Good on the Drua , they will be happy with first win. Have to be honest while I enjoyed game a bit looked like 2 teams that aren't really super level.

If that's what you think, to me Crsaders and Moana Pasifika looked like 2 teams playing their first super game of year. And I not sure will get uo to super level this year, but I haven't written them off after 1 game together.
