all i know is i'll be there with no expectations
-
since landers team is yet to be announced to the public, I predict brown will start hunt at fullback.. Hicks get his first run on start, Harmon at 7

I liked hunt at 15 when we had other options at 10...not sure about this though
happy enough to see gregory have a "rest"
-
@Kiwiwomble thought Aaron would have a rest the following week against drua, Fakatava is gonna be ace on a sunny Melbourne afternoon

Interesting that Gregory was named at 12 on the official Aussie rugby site (the rest of the 23 was the same)
Maybe he was a late injury rather than dropped? -
Nice to see Caird and Hammington get a run at last
-
@Kiwiwomble I like it. He's a good fullback

que him having an absolute clanger
-
Back to a 6:2 bench but Gilbert at least provides more cover if any early injury strikes.
-
@Kiwiwomble don't put that evil into the worldπ€£ would hate to see Mitch do an 04 Ben Blair against the brumbies

Holy shit you've nailed it. He's Blair!
I think @ACT-Crusader used to suggest he should have been a ten. Well now you know, no sir he fucking shouldn't have.

He can cover right from 10 - 15! Including the midfield
-
@SouthernMann I'd say he could cover the loose forwards too

definitely lock, he's like 7' tall

Brown was very complimentary of this midfield earlier in the season, saying they had the potential to be world class.
Now he's shifted them around in their positions? Weird.

they havent exactly lit the world on fire, maybe just a sign he's not too stubborn to change, this was my preferred midfield at the start of the season so really hoping they do well

TUJ before his injury was terrific at 12. The issue was at 13. Hope it goes well though.

no doubt, and ive said before i'm just a stupid forward that have never really understood the apparent huge difference between 12 and 13, foolishly claiming they could be swapped around more before being corrected
TUJ has shown an ability to break the line so might just be as simple as brownie wants to do that slightly wider and bring the wings into the game?
-
Maybe Brown is as confused as the rest of us at getting this amazing midfielder in Paea who then runs out and does a very sweet fuck all., So is switching his position because he must be wrong with so many rating him.
Edit: it could also be at the AB selectors request? Shifting Paea to 12 opens up the possibility of a Paea/Ennor midfield.

It's very possible that their jerseys will be the other way round when they take the field on Sunday. Late changes sometimes aren't accurately reflected in team releases.

@Bones Paea with his size

@Bones Paea with his size
His ability to outshine every other midfielder and show consistency is second to none.
Unfortunately, it's consistently getting dropped at the first sniff of a tackler.
-
had to put a sir ed on the debuting Sam Caird and while doing so I've noticed brumbies who opened at $2.60 are now the favourites at $1.72 , luckily got in early on that head to head
-
It's our year!
-
-
I wonder if Japanese rugby will rescind than 1.4 mil offer for Banks.....
-
Good to see Fakatava taking kicking lessons from Hunt
-
Horror start for the Highlanders.
I don't know how it is still 0-0.
-
Highlanders very sloppy so far...brumbies too I guess but looking sharper
-
This game is like last night in the way the Brumbies are getting quick ruck ball. Noticeably faster than the respective NZ teams.

Yeah and noticeably messy for Fakatava to deal with. Brumbies flying in the side, but Highlanders not even staying on their feet or setting properly. I think one of the best clears on our ball was Hunt!

Would you look at that, intentional knock forward and no card π

It wasn't intentional for a start.

Just because the ref said it was intentional doesn't make it so...
-
Brumbies all over them.

He mistakenly reached for the ball? Interesting.
Highlanders still in the changing room. This could get ugly.
