Barbarians U21 v Hurricanes U20

-
So, at the beginning of the game, still players bracketed?
-
Good team try scored by Ropeti. Great pass by Peter Lakai.
Harry Godfrey converts.Barbarians U20 0 - 7 Hurricanes U20
-
It would be great if the commentaor didn't call the captain Peter Lackey instead of Lakai.
-
Keegan McGregor scores for the Barbarians and Josh Jacomb converts.
Barbarians U20 7 - 7 Hurricanes U20
-
Well set-up try to Epeli Waqa-Nalaga. Converted by Harry Godfrey.
Barbarians U20 7 - 14 Hurricanes U20
-
Blair Murray off early due to injury.
-
Sean Ralph scores for the Barbarians. Hooker v halfback, you always know who's going to win that haha.
Josh Jacomb converts.14 all
-
That was a great kick from Godfrey, but the touch line wins.
-
Peter Lakai scores a great try, powering through three defenders.
Harry Godfrey converts.Barbarians U20 14 - 21 Hurricanes U20
-
Harry Godfrey's passing is superb. That was a great attack, unfortunately not resulting in a try.
-
Sean Ralph scoring again for the Barbarians. Viljoen the only Hurricane defending in that corner ...
Great conversion Josh Jacomb.Half time: Barbarians U20 21 - 21 Hurricanes U20
-
The Hurricanes U20s are good on attack, but their defence gives in too easily.
-
The changes in the Barbarians have certainly weakened their team, particularly TH prop and halfback, but they are hanging in there.
-
Hurricanes U20 have imploded?
Two tries to the Barbarians and it's:
Barbarians U20 35 - 21 Hurricanes U20
-
Finally, Cooper Flanders coming on.
-
A few minutes on the field, and Flanders scores already. Now that's impact!
Barbarians U20 35 - 26 Hurricanes U20
-
Try to Barbarians loosie Karl Ruzich. Josh Jacomb converts.
Barbarians U20 42 - 26 Hurricanes U20
-
Harry Godfrey and Tahu Kemara should be the NZ Under 20s' first fives.
-
Awesome try to Hurricanes U20 centre Epeli Waqa-Nalaga! Great try assist from Harry Godfrey, who converts the try.
Barbarians U20 42 - 33 Hurricanes U20
-
Try to Tahlor Cahill. I think he'll be one of the NZ U20 locks.
Josh Jacomb converts.
Barbarians U20 49 - 33 Hurricanes U20
-
Typical Barbarians rugby being played now. Awesome.
-
More piss-poor defence from the Canes U20s and Alfred Nonu scores for the Barbarians. Josh Jacomb converts again.
Barbarians U20 56 - 33 Hurricanes U20
-
Matt Monaghan showing great strength. He scores for the Canes U20s. Harry Godfrey converts.
Barbarians U21 56 - 40 Hurricanes U20
-
That's the full time score.
The NZ Barbarians also win their third game. I saw one of the Barbarians players refer to themselves as the "discards" (on instagram). I think they've proven that some of the eligible players should not be discarded by the NZ U20 selectors.
The Hurricanes U20s played much better than in their 2nd game, but can't be happy with their defence.
-
Broughton's post-match comments about some playing having a chip on their shoulder and a point to prove over non-selection for the other U20 teams was on point. I wonder if Donnelly will select some Barbarian players that were snubbed?
Broughton also hasn't lost a game at this tournament over 2 years.
-
@Bovidae Seen my post? Broughton just confirmed what his team mates posted on social media.

Something specific? He didn't go into details in the interview.
There were a lot of Canterbury players in the Barbarians.
