@Daffy-Jaffy Deon Fourie plays both hooker and as a loosie.
And surely Reinach is just emergency/insurance if there are any lingering issues with Faf.

Thanks for that. I just assumed 'Utility forward' meant a Lock/six. I see he is 35 years old (36 in September) and played his first test this year according to Wiki.

Yeah he’s been around forever it seems and finally got a shot against Wales.
The other utility Mostert, is a lock/blindside. A big brute.

Apparently the makeup of the Bok touring team is -
Overseas 18
WP 7

Cheetahs 1No wonder they're not so good playing away at Ellis Park.
-
@pakman yes I read somewhere many now don't have recent experience of playing at altitude.

Reports that Beale and/or Foley are in the mix...

jesus Kurtley Beale is only 33
he was a pretty decent player 11-odd years ago.

It feels like he should be older because Lee Grant was talking him up since he was 14

Been ages since I caught up with Lee Grant - he's still alive but not as active on the scene as he was.

Not surprising as he must be 105 by now.

Am in Adelaide atm and might go to the game. Tickets in the GA/grass area are only $20. Ridiculously cheap.

Fair few names back in contention compared to last game, and some new faces as well as the new/old face in Foley...
Jesus that's desperation

Could say the same about Quade, really.
-
@NTA I thought he had retired.

I had no idea what he was up to
-
Foley on the bench with Lolesio starting.
-
-
@NTA No need for a 6/2 split vs the Wallabies? And doesn't learn from the benching of Marx

Boks by 7

Boks by 17-27
Don't think they have the creative flair throughout the team to run up a large score. Unless the Wobs gift them points. Which will probably happen. I don't think they'll be as bad as Puma test 2.
-
An afternoon test should suit the Wallabies to play an uptempo game. They gave the Bok problems last year doing just that.
-
@Bovidae Weather looks good for Saturday afternoon in Adelaide.

I think they do, Am is a one man flair team
-
@Machpants you probably don't need too much flair when you can just batter the door down. I don't feel the Aussies will be quite as adept as the AB's at stopping that maul.

@pakman but when is the springbok team named

The way they play, some time in the 50s

That was a penalty fest too. 4 or 5 YC’s in that match if I recall. What I remember is Cooper kicking well and getting that game winner at the end, and a big run by Hooper.
-
5:3 split indicates Wallabies backs more a concern than pack.

Swain to come on late and give away the match-winning penalty for the Boks.
