By the end of the season maybe Alama will stumble on the best side
Get Vest out of the 23. He has terrible rugby instincts. He is the main culprit in the soft penalties
Good to seem Heem back. I would've been tempted to leave AJ in the midfield and play him on the wing though
-
@KiwiMurph I must be getting all alzheimersy as I cannot recall Angus Ta'avao being associated with the Eden Club in the past. Is this a recent thing or has he always been an Eden player? With his wandering minstrel status since about 2014 he may not have even played a club match in Auckland for all that time.
-
@Higgins He was Marist before leaving Auckland. His brother played at Eden for many years so maybe thats why he's lined up with them these days?

From varsity club. He seems to have come up from Canterbury University Club. There is a congrats post about him on their Facebook page -
-
@African-Monkey I see he is listed as being a Tukapa RFC member (think they are the Doolie mob in Taranaki) when he became and All Black #1175 in 2018 http://stats.allblacks.com/asp/profile.asp?ABID=1175

We seem to be Having a minor propping crisis -
Hodgeman
James Lay
Ahio
Fisitua
Tuipulotu -
This game will also be live on Prime TV.
-
Auckland has a good recent record v Waikato:
Auckland v WaikatoThey didn't play last year obviously. Auckland won twice in 2020. The last Waikato win was 2017
-
-
No mention if D’Angelo Leuila is injured or just rested. Good to have Finau and McWhannell back.
-
Gee looking at the lineups this should be a slapper of a match.

Is it in Hamilton? Lisa Lewis attending would make it a slapper of a match.

Fucking hell Pickerill is a shit referee.
-
Finau gives me Vaea Fifita vibes.
Auckland cleaners so far have been very slow.
-
That's the tackler rolling away is it? Fucking hell.
-
I loved that offload from Plummer.

At least some things in the world remain constant.
-
Sinkinson with some comparative pace on the left wing!

In a good way or flat track bully way? He's been impressive in the NPC.

Big difference so far between the two backrows.
-
Pickerall not recognising forward passes or knock ons 🤦🏻
-
How about looking for the knock on you missed from the high kick..all these years officiating and hes still useless
-
@antipodean Flat track bully and style but at the same time I haven't seen enough of him.

I thought he was pretty effective for the Chiefs earlier in the year.

I like Rhys Marshall

Superb try Waikato ..some brilliant handling got players into space ..
Come back to Northland Tupaea Cook Savage ..you know where home is -
Mooloo attack very good. Orcs defence on their heels

-
@Crucial really impressed with the short passing of Waikato, always seem to free up a man on the outside ..real difference in micro skills , if they can get Combes Fabling & Cook Savage on the outside one on one could be an exciting 2nd half
-
We all want a happy ending ..Batesy 🤦🏻
-
I’m not overly impressed with Sullivan’s decision making. Guy undoubtedly has some skills but could do with being a team player.
-
Nice big crowd for the Mickey Mouse NPC. comedy competition now
-
@Hooroo There's nothing wrong with the competition. Actually, it's been awesome thus far.
FMG Stadium always looks empty (test matches excluded).
-
It shouldn’t matter if it was a knock on. That would be advantage to Auckland then the penalty offence

It’s a fucking shit comp. Ranfurly Sheild aside this is the most Mickey Mouse club comp about.
-
@Hooroo That's your opinion. I know plenty of people who enjoy watching the games.
