QF - Waikato v BOP
-
NPC Results between Waikato and BOP
3-3 in the last 5 years
Waikato wins about 2/3 of games historically
This is the first time these sides have played a knock out game against each other
-
If other results go as expected I think the winner gets a trip to Christchurch.

Yeah the gender discrimination is shameful. Need to call them cattle bells in modern society.

ALB is back for this game.
-
And he starts at 2nd 5. Only allowed to play 40 mins though. Finau must be injured.

Ahhhhh Pickerill
-
Good try McWhannell
Who missed him? Sangster?
-
A couple of things.
-
I see TTT is playing. (As noted I've seen f all NPC). How has he been going? Had such high hopes a few years ago, but he faded into relative obscurity. Anyone know why? Fitness? Injury? Attitude? Off field? Or just reached his ceiling?
-
I hate people pronouncing Xavier as "Exavier". (Where's the GOM thread ... )
-
-
That’s shit from McKenzie. Too loose
-
A lot of play has broken down around McKenzie this game,as it has all NPC.
-
Ah Kuoi scores after a long build up. That attack started when Ah Wong ran straight through McKenzie
-
Good call from the officiating, not clear and obvious for me ..good try
-
Dmac Bays best player so far!
Just unnecessary shit too -

Boy that’s what you want from your middle row ..won’t look good on a replay for the Bop 13 or 9 .Mcwhannell on fire
-
Hamilton Burr blow out way way forward of the ruck , and Pickerall did nothing ..anybody else see that ..?
-
My god Pickerill is awful
-
I thought a drop kick attempt for a knock on is advantage over?

@Nepia only if it goes over in a penalty situation, if it had been a knock on maybe a different story
-
Late shot on dmac missed
-
Refereeing in this game is abysmal. Everyone in crowd mystified at the ongoing missed calls
-
Knock on either way missed, I just sense Bop are starting to panic,Waikato’s game to lose in my opinion
-
Good work from the replacement Hooker Rangi , good strength to turn Tucker over
-
Gotta say while all QF’s have been close , the standard is way below what I expected don’t know if the officiating has been much better ..
-
Huge forward pass
Edit: nah was flat
-
Feel the Bay running out of steam. Hoping one of Dmac's no look flicks goes wrong. And then out of nothing a Bay try!

Yeah, they've all felt like preseason games with the substandard handling across the board. I guess it's finals pressure. I think the refs have been tossing a coin for every decision.
Was that pass forward?
-
Nice timing of the pass, he forced the defender to commit
-
@Nepia it looked forward, but you always look at where it comes from out of the hand and it looked ok ..
-
Gg Waikato won't win this
-
@Yeetyaah feel like I jinxed them , on saying that I reckon they have paid the price for kicking so much ball away in the first 60 minutes as well ..D-Mac the main culprit

I'm happy for DMac to be back up 10 for ABs and not play, so Perofeta gets some hands on time with XV. But he's not been great at all this season, a bit like Beaudy
-
@Steven-Harris nah they played shit
-
Go the BAY!!!! Sangster galloping down the field like a giraffe breaking out of the zoo will live long in the memory
-
Congratulations to Bop great bounce back after last weekend result , must admit didn’t see that one coming ,all the best for the SF’s ..
Commiserations to last years champs Waikato have enjoyed some of the rugby they have played this year ,
Cook Savage and Sinkinson look like really good prospects for the future ,thought they missed Finau in the back row .
Not to sure how Waikato supporters would view this season but for me I would be disappointed checking out in a home QF . -
Get Leroy Carter into the AB XV, love how that kid plays.
-
Ahh great victory, pretty even match to be honest and those late tries made the gap bigger ..only fitting Waikato evened it at the end. Thought McWhannell in beast mode was going to kill us.
Hopefully injuries are not too major. Great effort from a lot of our forwards playing big minutes today too
D Mac fanboy club will probably work overtime on getting him into the ABs but Im seriously underwhelmed by his inconsistency.
