2022 LEFT WINGER (THE KARL MARX AWARD)
No not @Crucial or @Godder. We want your nomination for the best left winger of 2022.

Give reasons in support of your nomination so:

      1. You have some justification for your nomination
      2. We can argue against it

Discussion is encouraged at the nomination stage.

Nominations or alternatives without any opinions for, and arguments against will be treated as bannable offences.

Refer the laws of TOTY stated in the Sports Talk forum.

Surname First Name Country Pros Cons
BOFELLI Emiliano ARG Hugely positive influence for the teams he plays. Big boot.
KOROIBETE Marika AUS Most impactful (both attack and defence) and important player to Australia. Very hard working. No fear.
MAPIMPI Makazole RSA Quick. Fantastic step
Van der MERWE Duhan SCO A monster.

Van der Merwe is the obvious choice IMO. This man is a monster.
But I must mention here that I don't understand why NZ allowed someone like Lowe go north. He would certainly walk in the present AB team with ease. He is a good finisher and has a massive left boot, which is something the ABs don't have. Each time they get a penalty in the right side of the pitch, their kick for touch does not win more than 10 meters. This is a pretty poor aspect of the ABs game.

Scots have had lots of huge wingers in the past 20 years, difference is this guy is really good.

Probably the only Wallaby with a case for this team... Marika Koroibete. Easily our most impactful and important player.

He's not just impactful on attack and defence, he's one of the hardest working wingers running around too.

Would get my vote with the Saffer not far behind

Marika Koroibete. Absolutely no fear whatsoever. Will throw himself head long into a concrete wall if there is a chance it could help

Emiliano Boffelli has had a hugely positive influence for the teams he plays for during 2022. More so than the other contenders in my view.

Koreibeti. Without him Aus are half the side. I’d love to see him playing in a consistently fully firing Aus team. As it is he is more often than not the point of difference between Aus being pretty ordinary and being competitive.
