Agreed
But depending on the type of game you’re looking to play then Woki of France could be in the mix

Super Sam Whitelock.
Outstanding lineout practioner and empties the tank every time for the Black Jersey.
Tadhg Beirne
Hard as nails. Good ball player too.

AWJ.
Not his best season and at the end of his career, but the bloke's an even bigger legend than Sam W.

He’d get my sentimental vote but he’s really not been that flash this year.
I know Itoje doesn’t get much love around here, but that’s mainly to do with his whooping and hollering, which I get, but… his level of play and consistency make him a strong contender. Berne I agree with and Etzebeth. No-one else, IMO, has put their hand up consistently this year.
-
I can imagine Itoje losing a game from being a fluffybunny. Can't imagine Beirne, Sam W or AWJ doing that.
When he gets his head in the right place, Maro will be a force of nature. Just so much talent.
-
He’s nowhere near as theatrical playing for Sarries as he is for England. I wonder if that is deliberate and if so it it’s under orders? That wouldn’t surprise me.
-
Eben Etzebeth & Maro Itoje
Eben is the best in the world by some way, maro deserves recognition for his skill
