Surname First Name Country Pros Cons ATONIO Uini FRA Massive unit. Strong as they come. FURLONG Tadhg IRE A Welshman says he is without peer at TH. Most skillful prop you'll see for many a year LOMAX Tyrel NZL Very good scrummager. Big work rate. Most improved player in the NZ squad. Got a bit of mongrel as well. The current AB scrum is one of the best I've seen and Lomax a key part of that. Came from absolutely nowhere. Amazing how much he has improved this year. Went from a big bloke who had trouble scrummaging to holding his own against every Test prop he's come up against. Mobile, powerful. MALHERBE Franz RSA most experienced player for the Stormers. Showed some form against England No ringing endorsement for this year’s form -
Lomax for me. Very good scrummager, big workrate, most improved player in the NZ squad. I know there are bigger names than his (Furlong, Atonio, Fagerson) but I am keeping my choice.

Uini Antonio.
Massive unit. Strong as they come. Born in New Zealand, but plays for France. It breaks my heart that the NZR let such a big beast and such a good player slip through their fingers.

if we have a most improved this guy shits it in. Came from absolutely nowhere, to a chorus of "what? why?" and is now first choice.

It's amazing how much he has improved this year. Went from a big bloke who had trouble scrummaging to holding his own against every Test prop he's come up against. Mobile, powerful. Perhaps some of these blokes in the All Blacks setup know what they're doing...

Fat Frans Malherbe. Played the most important role for Springboks winning the 2019 WC. He became the most experienced player for the Stormers, passing Schalk Burger. A true team man playing for the badge and the Springboks most important player in the pack.
