Some French media say that Dupont may have a possible orbital floor fracture. Nothing confirmed, obviously.
That poor bastard has taken a few hits in his time, probably Farrells training partner.

Interesting in the press conference the Irish stated 13 of the starting 15 beat NZ so they have a lot of consistency in terms of selection and players.
Jesus, what a rabble, maybe he is thinking the last Donald at 10 won the World Cup, so let’s roll the dice.
How is this bloke better than Gordon?
Does anyone have stats on how often >1 back gets injured per game? I can only assume SA know this and let’s say the odds are 5-10% you then weigh up the benefit of 2 full forward packs pretty much going hard for 40 minutes each.
Ultimately it’s a gamble but what this does say is SA don’t really think impact backs have that much value in the current test meta but the forwards do.
I have to admit I largely agree, there are not many ABs back reserves that are better than the starters that can turn the game. Maybe DMac as a point of difference but really I have long wondered if the back reserves actually add impact or simply hinder the cohesiveness.
Of course BB of old and a few others used to but with Forwards now dominating the game I applaud SA for playing to their strengths.

Tipped Ireland. I just think they're too well organised and cheat magnificently.
So they are using "The McCaw" strategy, no wonder they are doing so well.

Makes Foster look like a clown, O'Gara is Wayne Smith like in his knowledge and honesty. I just love a bloke who tells it like it is and knows what is going on.
Of interest he alluded to without directly saying it that some teams may actually be trying to get hit high to invoke Yellow and Red cards. And that rush defence can be harder for the defender to adjust their height and therefore maybe more prone to high shots.
Makes me think a smart coach will look at NZ and who gives away the most penalties and types of penalties and then try to milk that.
Why is there not a standard for TV remotes, I had a presentation yesterday for work and I felt like a boomer as fuck me I could not figure out how to turn up the volume on the remote. There were two buttons, one with a plus, one with a minus. I try pushing the plus button and it changes the channel. Of course, the TV itself no longer has volume buttons so you have to use the remote. A younger person from the floor did come and try and help but they couldn't figure it out either.
So, they had to call IT support and after a short wait the IT guy comes in "What's the problem" I said, "I want to turn up the volume on the TV" He said "Have you tried the remote?" I said, "I don't know how?" He then looks at me as if I'm retarded picks up the remote and pushes the plus button forward and it turns up the volume.
He then turns around annoyed and walks out no doubt thinking fuck me how can the old fluffybunny not know how a remote works.
This was the first remote I have seen or used that required you to push the button forward like a lever and not depress. Anyway, I felt like an idiot with all these people watching me and thought I would share.

Not sure how relevant that is, I am pretty confident if the US declared War on Russia they would be able to produce that number. Do they have how many shells the US produced during WW2 when the US was actually at War?

Wales by 9+ scoring 4 tries in a barn burner
Oz get 2 losing BP
Can see this being a horrible dour game of "don't lose" footy.
Neither team scores 20.
Depends on points
The possible outcomes if both Wales and Australia score 5 point wins vs the minnows and Fiji score two 5 point wins vs minnows
This is how it might pan out.
Australia Win without a bonus point = 15 Points (Qualify #2)
Wales lose without any bonus points = 15 Points (OZ go through as they beat Wales.)
Fiji go through on 16 Points (Qualify #1)
Australia Win with a bonus point = 16 Points
Wales lose with a bonus point = 16 Points
Fiji have 16 Points
(I don't know how they work this out, is it the team with the biggest PD qualify #1 then whoever won between PD 2 & 3?)
Australia Win without a bonus point = 15 Points
Wales lose with a bonus point = 16 Points (Qualify #1 as beat Fiji)
Fiji have 16 Points (Qualify #2)
Australia Win with a bonus point = 16 Points
Wales lose with 2 bonus points = 17 Points (Wales go through #1)
Fiji have 16 Points (Fiji go through as they beat OZ #2)
Australia lose = Exit stage left
Wales win = Go through #1
Fiji = Qualify #2
I think that is right but happy to be corrected.
McLeod on the penalty count “Not so much a worry, but definitely a focus area for us,”
Fuck me how can conceding what 12 penalties with 75% possession against a minnow not be a worry. Or how about the fact we have had 2 red cards in last 3 games. The fact we seem to give away more penalties then just about every team. If that is not a worry you have got a few Kangaroos loose in the top paddock.
I so desperately want a coach who tells it like it is, holds players accountable and stops sugar coating everything with lessons, learnings and focus areas.

In our own hands
Fiji need to beat both Portugal and Georgia scoring 4 or more tries in both matches to finish on a maximum of 16
Australia have to beat both us and Portugal scoring 4 or more tries in both matches to finish on a maximum of 16 points
We beat Aus, we’re through
We lose to Oz with no BP and beat Georgia with BP and we have 15 points, and if the others have accomplished the above then we’re out
At this stage it’s us and Fiji going through
What happens if you lose to Australia with a bonus point and everyone has 16 points? Is it down to points dif?
Seems there are a few ways this could pan out, in theory if OZ don't get 4 tries vs Wales but win, and Wales get a losing BP then they could finish higher? Also, Wales could just score 4 tries to get a BP and get to 16 even if they lose?
Lomax best be fit for the next game then.
What is the rule re red cards in tournament, they can’t be replaced can they?

But he's the best centre in the team
Shame Akira and RI aren’t identical.
Just curious but is Fletcher a little lucky to be fast tracked? Go Ioane, best winger in NZ.
