Like Warlord suggested...swiss balls are the dogs bollocks for core stability. Pilates is also fantastic.Â

Precor do a nice bike but pretty pricey. The common thing you read about recumbent bikes however is that although they give your legs a good decent workout, a lot of users don't get the feeling of a good cardiovascular workout. Good rehab tools though, which is what you may be looking for. However, for my money I would have look at an elliptical trainer. Low impact, and a bit more interesting workout.<br />

Periodisation is what you need to be doing. Seems you are overtraining. The weights etc you are doing are more for off-preseason strength and size. A bit pressed for time presently, but will dig up an article for you that structures the years training quite nicely and focusses on the specifics of rugby.

My favourite chest exercises are now press ups with a 20kg plate on my back, and close grip press ups with your hands balanced on top a medicine ball. Finish your chest workout with one of those and you'll be lovin it! The weighted press ups are especially good for athletes as I read somewhere some NFL fitness coach never advocated Bench Press, as very rarely do you have the need to lie on your back and throw something heavy up in the air, as opposed to getting up from your guts off the deck. Interesting I thought :nta Dips are superb.

Asics are excellent but my favourite runners are Mizuno. I've found these two to be the best (and most expensive <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />) for me over the past few years. In terms of life span, a podiatrist told me to rotate two pairs and throw them out after three months. I run 5x per week, 9-10km each time on concrete, and am 85kg. Shoes still look good after this time, but you are thrashing the same parts everytime you run.Â
