Overhead Squats aaarrrggghhhh
-
Last few weeks have been working on these and must say I have never tried a weight lifting exercise that has been so difficult to execute

Been doing alot of Turkish getups to build shoulder and back strength

I do regular squats, front squats, barbell thrusters, regularly do bear workouts, but man these overheads are giving me grief <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Any of the faithful do these regularly or had experience with them -
Yep. I've been doing them all as part of Crossfit over the last couple of years. Overhead squats was the hardest to nail technically. I started with a broom stick for a while, then just the bar and finally loading weights. It helped strengthen my back too, I used to have occasional back pain from a weak core.

The thing I find with overhead squats is pushing my shoulders back far enough to balance when I'm in the squat phase. -
sounds mad, I love it.

Ive just started doing them (Doing 3/12 with Olympic bar supersetting with DB swings 3/15 ) to warm up before front squats. A technical movement but I like it.
