• RE: Weak broken back

Thanks for all the comments, physio is down to two days per week and it is coming right now. Have to bend my knees for everything i do and that is hard to get used to. Will spend all Feb with light weight, high reps and then ramp it back up in March when hopefully my lower back and posture is better.

    • RE: Introducing - Hernia Boy...

My abs workout might be OK for your hole. I am starting with cable crunchs and then a series of front and side planks holding for as long as I can. This workout is superseted and the burn is fairly good.
I might get time to do abs on Sat with you as this is my normal day for them.

    • RE: Weak broken back

Cheers ears, my wife has told me for years to watch my back but it took the physio advice before I listened.
Looks like I will have to add a core workout also to my routine instead of just an ab workout.

    • Weak broken back

Slowly recovering from a slipped disk in my lower back, have had to spend a fortune of physio and stop lifting so heavy. Has anyone had lower back issue and what was the fix. i have been told to lower my weights, increase reps and concentrate on getting my lower back stronger (common sense really). Heaps of excercises on a swiss ball so I bought one on trade me this morning. I have to sit on it to keep my shoulders back and use it for lower back excercises. Will do some at the gym but we only have one ball there.
Well gym opens at 9 so better get ready for some cardio.

    • RE: Introducing - Hernia Boy...

I have had two or three hernias and other operations on my core. The only Hernia which was bad was sort out at the same time as operating on my belly button. They just pushed it back at the same time. My son has abelly button hernia now but not bad. it is just a lump that he finds funny and shows everyone. Not much you can do with them if they are small. Hopefully hoding in in and time will allowthe lining to fix itself up. I agree with Tressa, with your hernia and my slipped disk in my back we must be getting old. Too much hard work and heavy tackles over the years are catching up now.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have talked to a work mate doing BB and he has also been told to go with one arm excercise. I like the slower reps idea.
• Uneven size

Is there anyone out there in bodybuilding or just lifting weights that has issues with uneven size. I have a smaller right trap and pec along with a lower right shoulder.

Not sure if it will come right over time but it is confusing as I am right handed.

Any advice appreciated.
