Joyce was tailor made for Zhang - he marched forward and his defense revolves around letting his opponent hit him in the head until the opponent tires- worked well v sick and average puncher in Joe but not a big bang.
Parker will snipe and move in and out.
Hopefully has some decent southpaw sparing lined up

Boxing wise Canelo is an old man now. He has had a lot of fights but the amount of training/sparring over the length of time he has must be suffering wear and tear.
Must be Mexican beef holding him together -
Great fight and yes a third sounds like it will happen at Croke Park possibly 80-90,000 capacity
Cameron maybe panicked after her head got cut clash of heads early- very deep cut.
Katie fast combos Cameron def bigger puncher 3rd fight will be 50/50 as well -
I feel u are most likely correct but Katie is a champ and will try finding a way.
My house is 50% Irish born so be cheering Katie on -
Katie v Cameron tomorrow rematch
should be a great fight -
Even if cus was younger/ healthier..alive mike would have ended up following the same path. Maybe he would have stayed disciplined a few more years so had a longer peak but Don king ,cocaine and money motivated ladies would have still gotten hold of him. He is an addict. Cus made him a training addict but that would have worn thin.
Amazing life story though. This age of self promotion through social media has robbed us of the characters in boxing - I have tired of fury and his knobhead dad of late but his story is a throwback in alot of ways. -
He wore alot from Joyce and kept going until accumulation took its toll but Joyce and Wilder are very different punchers joyce thuds you to the ground taking away your will - one punch from Wilder can take your soul.
-
No he didn't
but in fairness to Mike he took huge beatings before being stopped (disregarding the last couple to journeyman where he shouldn't have been fighting)
Buster
Evander
even v Lennox when he was well past it.
The 2 fights with Ruddock showed courage he was hit and hurt many times but always responded so Mike didn't lack heart. -
@MN5 Holmes said he was out but hitting the canvas woke him up
Amazing recovery powers but like what Fury did v Wilder in 1 and fight 3 . -
yes about that weight 244lbs
Fury 280lbs 127kg -
Wilder sets his right up well- he has long limbs so if your thinking your out of range he can still KO u.
Where he struggles is when the fight is taken to him and those long limbs become a hinderance. Getting there is the dangerous part.
Fury could do it as he is massive limbed and weight advantage- Parker doesn't have those advantages so he must keep moving off the centre line so Wilder can't set his feet. Sounds easy enough but doing it 3min of every round as well as your own offense is hugely draining and Wilder is happy to wait....
can't wait for it
Best fight though may well be Miller v Dudois -
@MN5
Its going to be a long morning of watching fights.... brilliant -
so he should canelo where the $ at
And he has his number -
Parker v Nganno is the talk going round
Good payday -
@kiwiinmelb Absolutely agree he isn't top of the ladder for a title shot but being at the top isn't always guaranteed pathway to a title. I do believe he is first and foremost cashing in while hoping it happens but that is pretty much the same for them all under Uysk and Fury. Even AJ is now.
As far as i know JP has no signed promoter to get him fights and is presently getting fights via Tysons name.... -
@African-Monkey Parker is top 10 in the world still, he wants a title shot or big $$ fight again before he takes the gate keeper role.
He may be fighting C/D level fighters but at least he is active- look at Ruiz calling out the Wilders- Fury and AJ's wanting a huge slice but not getting anything. Waste.
JP needs to keep ticking over and choose opponents smartly and before you know after Fury/Uysk or if Fury pulls the pin (never know) belts become available to highest ranked in the organisation.
Hygovic v JP foe IBF title in 12-18mths not beyond the realms -
@nzzp 9's who run alot are usually doing so because they lack confidence in their pass - many run when the pass would be off their weaker hand. You can even see this at international level.
Smith doesn't have this problem so when he runs he is more likely to catch the opposition unaware. -
@Bovidae Losing to a Sydney XV as well
Pat Lams only appearance -
@Bones I have never seen POM as quiet as today, no niggle - wasn't featuring in lineouts nothing
Our pack as a whole but especially the loosies completely dominated and shut him out.
A game where he should have stood up he stepped back i feel -
game breakin up Scots needed it to earlier
